I’ve seen a lot of people killing really fast with the pistol, especially when they constantly land headshots.
However, I can’t seem to kill anyone with the pistol. I always keep my crosshair centered in the enemy, but only end up landing a few shots.
Any tips so I can get better with it? Apart from playing the drills

There are a ton of cheaters with aimbots who keep whining about being “banned out of nowhere” looks like 343i actually made an anticheat that -Yoinking!- works. Im no longer being ganked by 5 of these -Yoinks!- at every turn and when I die now its fair because I walked into the enemy spawn with 3 around every corner and gotten around 15-25 more fps than yesterday.
Just tell those toxic fags to off themselves. Aiming for the head seems to be inherently designed to punish players in Infinite’s game design along with having the weakest vehicles in the entire franchise. Even Halo 4 at least required you to empty your magazine once and halo 3 only had the vehicle explosion AFTER it was rendered inoperable.
“slipspace engine” looks like given 343i’s work with the MCC, its actually just a rebranded UE4 down to how it plays with the various components on the player character. Reach’s armor attachments were complete models so they look better, not this uncolorable ugly -Yoink- they currently have.

Telling ya man crossplay should be disabled and burned in hell. Cheaters in a flight for a game that isn’t even out yet. 343 better be banning people properly like what I heard about battlefield 2042 cheaters will be IP banned. This crap needs to stop. Its funny ever since crossplay I’ve had more cheaters than ever but before and only console played with console there was what felt like none whats so ever.

I’m happy 343i did something useful for once. Guess they finally got rid of the political trolls and finally hired some people who want to work for a living.

Hit the snooze button fella, they’re being banned because of the game having random system disconnects. So it is out of nowhere to them because it’s not clear why they are banned. You just get banned after a system failure to connect. It’s understandable they wouldn’t know what caused that. It last 10 minutes but people don’t know that so they post about it. Understandable.
To think there are that many aimbots out there that you keep running into them is laughable. The idea someone has even been able to make one and put it out this quickly too for a flight.
For the pistol you can spam your shots at centre mass for 6 hits then finish with the head. You need to be fairly close range for this though as otherwise the AR is more dominant. You only need to hit the head with your final shot. Playing in training against the bots is helpful. If you master the range, when to back down you can dominate Spartan bots. You will probably die a lot in the process but if you die to Spartan bots then you are either using the weapon at the incorrect range, your accuracy needs to be better, or your positioning is poor. These are all things to consider and will develop as you practice staying alive and killing them, practice and some trial and error. If you are having a hard time aiming then maybe play with your settings and lower sensitivity. Pointless being on a higher sensitivity if you keep missing! If the Spartan bots are too difficult then work your way up to them.
If players are killing you across the map with the Sidekick then you really need to work on your positioning and movement round the map. Are you rushing into engagements you cannot back down from for example or entering open spaces with no cover or plan.
I played against someone earlier that was absolutely shredding me with it. Seemed like he would pull that trigger at supernatural speed and didn’t seem to miss. The majority of players that I’ve played against can’t use it anywhere near as well as that though.
Personally I use the weapon as it name suggests, as a sidekick. I only ever use it in to quickly clean up kills once I’ve done the majority of the damage with my primary weapon or grenades already or if I’ve run out of ammo mid shootout.
Stripping full shields and getting a kill with it is pretty challenging against opponents that are strafing and jumping around - especially on controller. I assume it’s easier to use with KBM.
