Tips for the new spartans of h5

Halo 5 introduced a completely different feel to the game. It can be hard to pick up and go and it is very easy to get discouraged from playing off the start.
A few tips:
1.Before you play make sure your controller settings are good for you(sensitivity/deadzones)

  1. If your old playstyles simply are not working as well as they used too, try a different approach.(ex. Be less aggressive)

  2. Assist. H5 is very Team heavy. The more you help your team the better the outcome. Stick with somebody.

4.learn how each weapon works. They are all useful in select situations.(ex.smg/plsma repeater is great in cqc)

5.play to have fun

Feel free to add some more tips!

This is the guide to Halo 5 for noobs.

I’m always super aggressive. And it usually works. (except when it doesn’t)

you also gotta say Walshy and Ogre too alot to let them suckers know your a MLG pro, oh yea and yell one shot too just so they know you know what your talking about.

  1. If you are in a match that you aren’t winning, for the love of god, DON’T QUIT! Seriously!
  2. If you are winning, DON’T QUIT THE MATCH!
  3. Don’t pick up a weapon if you don’t know how to use it!
  4. Use the control stick. (Yes this needs mentioning) Like, seriously, don’t just stand in a corner all game doing nothing. Better yet…
  5. Never ever ever be AFK during a match!

How are we gonna learn how to use a weapon if we never use it? And you do realize not everyone is single with no other people in the house playing Halo in complete darkness? Some of us have families that we need to take care of, and they take priority over Halo.

You don’t need to zoom/smart-link nearly as much as you think. I find it is way easier to get hits on targets zoomed out and only if they are pretty far away do I zoom.

I think that that depends on the weapon. I never zoom on the pistol or automatic weapons. It’s just preference though.

I also noticed a big improvement when I relied more on the pistol and less on the AR. Kills much faster at all but close ranges when you’re accurate

so don’t start a match you cant finish or are going to get pulled away from… if its almost dinner or if the kids are waking up from a nap, its best not to start a new match, if all you are going to do is eventually have to quit to deal with family matters…

If you are new Halo 5 player then stick with an experienced player. Learn by watching his playstyle.
Grab any weapon that you find and try it out. Otherwise you will never learn how this weapon works.

It’s called the campaign. Every weapon is in there. Play that before going into multiplayer to get familiarized with all the weapons and movements. Bring friends into forge or custom games to get more accustomed as well. There are many alternatives to just rushing weapons with no idea on how they work.
