Tips for multiplayer?

Alright, it’s been a little while since I’ve played halo 5, and by no means am I a great player, so I would like to know if there is anything I can do to hold my own so I am not a detriment to my team and perhaps even help them. Sadly, I only play solo, with randoms so communication is practically non-existent. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong and what I can do to better myself?

Join a Spartan Company, and play with them. You never know if they might host a Custom Game Night, until you get to know them. Or you can make a friend and ask them to play with you, like a 1 vs. 1. I find it incredible so many people don’t do this.

For me, 1v1 isn’t as rewarding in Halo 5. It is a team based shooter and as such should be played that way IMHO. 1v1 ends up with corner camping and general cheesy tactics to gain the upper hand but that’s just my 2 cents.

definitely find a group to play with. Work together but don’t hug each other. Aim for the head =)

Try to flank your enemy.
For me, I can make a good guess where the enemy is spawning then I try to flank them. 50/50 chance it will or will not work.

Just try not to run too much and use your thrusters to dodge and trick the enemy.
Then just practice on your accuracy :stuck_out_tongue:

First and foremost find a sensitivity that you are comfortable with. Start with like a 4 sense, 2 aim accel with 0,0 dead zones. And make minor adjustments from there. You need to be comfortabel with your aim. Then, get to know map positioning. Know where the power spots are and start learning spawns so you can position yourself accordingly. The spawns are pretty predictable in H5. Just pay attentoin to where your teammates are and where the enemy is coming from. One you get the hang of your aim and have an idea on spawns and map position, work on your strafe. Strafe back and forth, crouch, jump and boost all while shooting.

It is so he/she can practice. You don’t practice, and you’ll end up like this Red guy.

Aight, quick question about mic setups and audio setups. Currently, I am using an optical output on the Xbox one which goes into a DAC, which feeds into an amplifier, which then feeds into my headphones. how exactly can I use a mic with this setup? Any ideas?
