Tips for improving Aiming proficiency

Greetings fellow Halo Reach Players,

Thanks for reading my topic inquiry A bit about myself I started playing Halo Reach last year off and on in my spare time. Most weeks maybe I play 15 hours. Which I realize does not seem like a great deal of time video game players. With work, family, and life it is a great deal of time to me. Although I still enjoy an hour here or there occasionally. Needless to say my skill level will probably never be that of Legend. I’m not complaining about this; it simply stating an observation and employing a rank level as substitution for skill set. So this is my quandary.
I realize this may not be proper forum for inquiries regarding improvement of skills. The skill in particular lining up shots. While I have no problem hitting center of mass of the targets. I seem to lack the ability and/or skill to land cranium shots. I will be the first to admit; that I’m not the best player nor the worst. Whenever I go into multi-player I try to be an asset to whatever team I placed with. I’m not looking for a trick or a device to improve my aiming. Simply put any advice on forms of practice exercises or steps in training to improve my aiming, will be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to playing with all you online at one time or another[…]Treed Mongoose

Try crouching while shooting with weapons such as the DMR or Needle Rifle, on 100% bloom, they will only just reach maximum bloom, however, on 85% bloom, it will never leave the original reticule, meaning you can hit the trigger fast and pull off the five shot.

Play Octogon.

Its basically an octogon-shaped map. Play 1v1 with just DMRs. You will get multiple game’s worth of practice in a short time because you’re pretty much always shooting.
