Let me start by saying I like driving the Ghost in Halo. However, it seems extremely hard to splatter someone in Halo 4 compared to any of the previous Halos (the Ghosts also seem much slower and weaker). I constantly find myself getting fed up with attempting to splatter people and resort to using the plasma guns instead. I seem to do much better then, but still, I don’t get splatters.
Does anyone have any pro tips for getting good at splattering people? The only technique I really use now is not trying to splatter people when they are facing me. I need 75 more splatters to get the green visor, which I want to use.
When playing against smart players start by using the plasma guns then when they jump switch to boost mode. Catch them on their descent for the splatter.
Two things that may help is to try and catch jetpackers on the way down, and to try to pinch people against a wall/rock, since they are limited on where they can go.
Oh, if you start to get hijacked, try and jump out, as you may survive, and 'jack them back.
Well, splatter people who aren’t paying attention, i.e. shooting at another player.
Also, you can boost a little so they jump and then boost when they’re about to hit the ground to kill them.
Never try to fly into a group of enemies, instead try and pick off the lone wolves on the map and when you’re ghost is in flames just get out of it and find a new one instead of waiting until it explodes.

make sure you hit them straight on, know your limits, use the twin cannons if they’re in an area you can’t reach, stay away from other vehicles and back out if you’re in danger, don’t hold down the boost to splatter people only boost when you’re in mid range for the best effect, if you constantly boost you won’t have enough power to kill them. and lastly try and go for players who are distracted by combat or are not paying much attention, don’t try and tackle a big swarm of players at once (trust me i’ve tried you won’t get a triple splatter unless they’re in a line). and last of all, keep moving, oh and one last thing, if you are plasma’d leave the ghost and re-enter it to cancel the effect.

Pick your targets. Look for Johnny DMR with his face glued to his scope, he won’t see it coming. If you miss, they’ll be expecting an attack. Best to work your way around the map and find someone else.
Use boost carefully. Timing isn’t exactly hard. If you just boost at someone, they know when to jump and avoid you. Either use no boost untill you can know where they will land, or cut out just as they jump before ramming through them.
Board, then splatter. It may look a little close, but if you board someone’s ghost, you can knock them off, fall back a bit then boost in to them before they are able to jump.
Make it look like you haven’t seen them. This is my favourite. Fire off at right angles to them. They will think you are focused on something in the distance, and run to board you. Use your motion tracker, and once they get close enough (probably sprinting) turn to the side and hit that L trigger.
If you are going for the green visor, I recommend the Crimson playlist. Not only are the maps pretty good for ghost and splatter action, but there are also a mix of objectives to distract your enemies. Complex is also goodish for splatters for this reason.

Well it is a 47 tonne hovering hunk of armoured metal after all…
Hope that you get a match where there is an AFK’er and go to town!
If that situation doesnt arise, then play CTF on complex, many a splatter can be obtained by killing those who come for the flag or run offense and kill those who are guarding. BTB, wait for the heavies to get taken out and then its a splatterfest.
Protip: Boost towards them, then stop a click in front of them (because they’re most likely going to try and jump over you), aim at them while they’re moving through the air, then boost right at them when they land. Probably the easiest way. Been playing since Halo 1

Got a killtacular in this playlist with ghost splatters while they were all guarding the flag, no exterminator medal anymore though
