Hey, so let’s get this out of the way: This is probably fairly obvious information and a poor cover for a not-so-subtle brag.
I got Assassin Master last night, and I’m quite proud of myself. I thought it might take forever, but after getting 45 Assassinations in 3.5 hours last night I wanted to put out there how I did it so others might be able to as well.
Loadout: Assault Rifle, Magnum, Plasma grenades, Invisibility, Unlimited Sprint.
Playlist: Regicide. It’s a 6 person FFA. You can kill or try to kill everyone you see, upping your chances. Also, unlike a BTB setting, most people are so focused on the king, they run right by you.
Maps: HAVEN and Adrift/Abandon.
I was successfully getting 3-6 Assassinations per match on Haven last night. So easy. Hang out invisible by the cracks and jump down, or chase people up the lifts, however you have to do it, do it.
Style: I’m not a camper. I don’t thin kI have the attention span to be one. I sit in one spot for 20 seconds and I can’t take it anymore and leave my spot. So, that’s out. Invisibility was only because its the best to not be noticed with by doorways or edges (obviously) but NOT for sitting in a corner waiting the whole game. That will limit you.
Instead, Haven, hang out by the cracks and jump down when someone runs by, or a 1v1 battle ends and 1 person is left. Adrift, try jumping down from the tower ledges on either side or the middle ring if the battle is happening in the center. You won’t have much luck in the hallways unless yo ucatch someone going up the lift. Abandon, just chase people down basically.
Frustrations: Don’t camp. You can chase some people down an entire hallway or across an entire map and they will never turn around and you’ll get the assassination, some people turn around the second you take a step and shoot you in the head! Adapt. I got innumerable CQC, Assault Rifle, and Sticky kills last night on top of 45 Assassinations - I went even or positive all night by getting kills that weren’t assassinations as well.
You’ll get tons of Beat downs, melees, stolen assassinations, etc. But don’t fret. Being aggressive and chasing these kills down is infinitely better than getting one per map by hiding in a corner. Get out there and do it!
tl;dr - I’m bragging because Assassin is easier than I thought originally.
