Tips for a solo Warzone player?

As you can see by my last 20 games (only 6 are wins), I need some help. I play solo because none of my friends play Halo. Are there any tips the community can give me?

Shoot the bosses when they are about to die, you are guaranteed to win! I am that guy who does this and it works.

I always do but the enemy always gets them :L

There isn’t much that you can do by yourself. Try stealing boss kills and just go for the NPC enemies in general.

Try using a more powerful weapon, railgun, laser, DMR, etc… just something that does a lot of damage at once and shoot it when it’s healthbar is =========== around there. The powerweapon will do the remainder in 1 shot guaranteeing you the kill. Splinter nades are OP too.

I play Warzone solo practically every time and what I do is sneak to the enemy’s armory and try to kill as many players as possible before going down, slowing them down and taking one for the team.

Kill enemy elites and soldiers as soon as they spawn

learn the spawn times, and push for bases, coming from a mainly solo Warzone player

Figure out a when and where the bosses spawn, a lot of the early ones can be splattered instantly

Add me. I’m always inviting players to play warzone with!

Tips:
-Follow your team, don’t lone wolf
-Steal those boss kills when they’re low
-Watch for the mini bosses, they’re often overlooked
-Defend any base that is contested
-Use Ghosts

…isn’t it sad how 3/4 people advise you to STEAL boss kills?

that’s one of the reasons i stay out of Warzone :stuck_out_tongue:

Holding down the bases and getting kills isn’t winning the game.

Also, don’t worry too much about wins and losses.

If you come across LT Wasp and his crew: just quit

He has never let a team get more than 300 points

He has only lost 6 warzone matches out of over 2000

I play solo as well … I just try to get as many assists and boss kills when I get a chance to play.

  • Go for bosses - Remember that vehicles can instakill most bosses by ramming (except for Hunters, Promethean Knights, Warden) so I’d recommend an early Warthog or Ghost, stay alive for boss kills. Ghosts are the easier way. - Plasma Pistols are a huge help vs vehicle bosses. If you stun the vehicle long enough, the AI will hop out and die fast. Try this vs Tankmaster Rok. Plus it instantly takes down Elite shields for headshot kill, so good vs infantry bosses too. - If you want to win easy, just play with party of people and callout stuff like enemy vehicles and positions.I play with Gaven iz a bk and his friends sometimes, so add him and you will see me too.

Some really great tips right here, but go ahead and add me aswell  you can never have to many friends

  • Learn the boss spawn times/locations. Try to take out easy ones by yourself with a power weapon or a ghost(elites are good in this regards, easily splattered or noob combo’d)
  • Help your team nab bigger/harder boss kills and/or steal enemy big boss kills. If you don’t have a power weapon defend your homies that do, or kill enemies with powerweapons. A surprising number of people just tunnelvision the boss landing you easy kills.
  • Learn when to lonewolf and when to team up. If you see your team easily holding down garage / spire / fortress, and the enemy is pushing hard, try to lonewolf nab their armories. Or just sit to the side and pick of retreaters / stragglers.
  • Defend bases if you can defeat the attackers. If not, wait for back-up.
  • When teaming up, shoot at every thing that moves. Even if you think your homie got, just do it. You might killsteal(sometimes it happens when your homie runs out of ammo and you give the final blow) or just an assist, but what matters is the enemy dies and your homie lives. You might have just saved him and assists are valuable in their own right.
  • If you’re not a mic-fan still listen to team chatter to know what’s going on.

Kind of going with the flow and knowing when to lone-wolf or team up, keeping tabs on enemy movements and trying to flank them or nab objectives where their presence is weakest, and solo-ing easy bosses usually lands me with a ~2 K/D, with 10-20 assists, and 2-5 boss kills. It’s not stellar, but I do alright for myself.

Above all else, just keep playing, practice, and all of it will flow nicely into a personal combatstyle/approach. I picked up FPS multiplayer with H5, never played before, just practice and git gud.

edit: And remember, it’s a team effort. You win some, you lose some. I believe I’m at about 50/50 wins/losses. You can’t decide the entire outcome of a match, but you can still contribute a lot, even if your team ends up losing.

Feel free to add me too. I always play Warzone

Going into Warzone solo and if your team is not communicating, is 100% luck. If you go in with some friends you have a better chance at winning. Most likely if the other team is 12 players communicating, there is nothing you can do against that. At least you still earn xp and req points if you lose.

Who cares about the boss (and winning), shoot the enemies who are shooting the boss - they’re wide open
