Ok, I am going to start by saying This is not a from post telling you what to do to get better because I am not at that skill lv to tell you My placement match was platinum 6 so I am no onyx or champion but in turn its the other way around. I am planning on making a youtube video on tips and tricks for Halo 5 swat. if you would like to contribute with tips please post them in the comments and please give a reason why it would be a good tip/trick.

On a serious note, you’ve gotta keep your head on a swivel. Make sure you know where you are in the map, and try not to get beneath any structures where people can surprise you. Keep an eye on all the openings so that you get first shot. If given the choice of DMR/BR vs. Magnum, choose Magnum at close range, DMR/BR at longer ranges. Magnum has a higher fire rate, which can definitely win a firefight if you miss your first shot. Don’t spend too much time scoped, as it’ll prevent you from watching your surroundings.

Sorry, I haven’t gotten around to playing SWAT in 5 yet. Mostly remember Reach, where you would have a DMR and a Magnum, ready to switch between.

Two tips i can give you are:

Aim with your left stick as much as possible and your shots will be more in sync with your strafe.

Do NOT forget to STRAFE!
I probably have more, but I would have to say that those two are the basics.
Avoid going to common places where an enemy might expect you, for example sniper spawn or top mid on coliseum, instead take the route through sneakys to get to the other side. All in all, avoid higher open ground, as it makes it very easy to get shot.
