Tips and strategies for WZFF

I have seen a lot of threads on how difficult WZFF is right now. It does need some difficulty tuning. However I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where you can put tips or strategies you have noticed that work against the various enemies and scenarios to help everyone improve their chances of winning.

I will start with a couple.

I have had good results using the wheelman armor mod with at least a lvl 5 or 6 tank. A Wraith works well on the rounds where the mythic bosses spawn inside the base, as you can lob your shots and the tank is just more maneuverable. Scorpion works best in open areas. Using the wheelman mod, you can take a surprising amount of damage. Do not try to take on the Grunt Goblin though… he will still destroy you utterly.

Also I have found the Blood of Suban carbine works very well against prometheans… particularly soldiers and crawlers. Basically only 2 or 3 shots will take out a soldier and 1 will take out a crawler. MUCH less than a BR. It even does decent damage against a knight.

I hope if this thread takes off it will give a pool of knowledge to help people with the insane difficulty of this mode.

Ive found the ghosts quite helpful provided I don’t rush straight into battle, running over enemies and keeping a good firing distance from knights and hunters. Against crawlers, soldiers and knights ive found any of the light rifles handy!

Using an ONI Scorpion as a massive sniper rifle works pretty well for me. Keeps me out of the line of fire for the most part and if Warden launches something at me, I’ve got plenty of time to scoot for cover. ^^
Any other Scorpion works too, the ONI just fires faster.

Plasma casters work pretty well against the Grunt Goblin, but your whole team have to have them. Handy as they have more ammo in than the other explosive weapons.

Plasma pistol works great for ariel vehicles, especially the pheatons.
The ONI Scouthog for the early rounds of covenant, soldiers and crawlers. Just run them over and get easy kills. Avoid the knights and hunters as hitting them will just make them mad.

When the Grunt Goblin bows his armor, run for cover, then attack again. Do not use the wasp against him.

Ghosts and warthogs are pretty useful for the round where you have to kill Elites and Soldiers. And in some occasions, a banshee could help you help you in the final round.

It’s all about the splatter. Just don’t get screwed by Knights, Hunters, Vehicles, Warden Eternal, and Grunt Goblins.
