Don’t die.
With the massive influx in new gamers warzone has literally become an even worse pubstomp then it was before. So basically, heres a place where we can send newer players and what not to get some very important tips and tricks from more veteran players.
My number 1 tip? Don’t Die.
I’m serious with this. This will sound weird, I know, but follow me on this journey.
I played league of legends for 3 years, if there is one thing I learned about pvp games by playing that game, it’s that you don’t have to win, just don’t lose.
Confusing statement to a lot of people. So to make it simpler, it basically means, Don’t die.
By that, it doesn’t mean just don’t die period no not even pros can do that, it means don’t feed the enemy. In warzone, dying has a much bigger impact then in arena (save gametypes like slayer where that’s the whole point) as with the req level system. I have personally found that if I’m constantly getting outplayed and stopped from getting req levels, I can do literallaly nothing. Though when I smash teeth early on and hit 5 reqs by 5 minutes, its a pretty easy game from then on out because I can pull out a few powerful reqs and just continue to smash teeth.
Now, I’m not saying don’t run out of the bases to capture more bases no obviously you want to do that, and sometimes you just cant do anything to stop dying whether the other team just has better weapons or is higher skilled. Though, you can change how you are playing. Are you dying a lot? maybe sit back and stick with some teammates. Trying to defend the base to no avail? Stop defending start attacking.
Now warzone, like league of legends, can be decided very, VERY early on in the game by just a few people getting ahead in reqs and weapons. By dying constantly early on, without doing anything to attempt to change this (change strategies, or switch playstyles,) you are much more negatively hurting your team mates. Once almost everyones at or about 6 reqs, dying doesn’t have as big an impact, but you should still try not to die.
Remember that you can always change what you are doing and you cant change what anyone else is doing.
If theres one thing ive learned playing warzone, its that you cant carry it. Period. So don’t try to carry, but don’t try to feed. I have only lost one game when I got in a team with mostly mics and we worked as a team. Stop lone wolfing.
Post some tips here that you have for the newer players comming in.
