On other forums, I’ve seen an option to “ignore user,” which will hide comments from users who the person does not wish to see a response from, while everyone else will still see that said users response. It’s cool because it allows us to “self moderate.” People on these forums seem pretty mature and are good about ignoring certain people on their own, but this might help in those instances where a post causes someone to see red immediately.
It’s just a thought… I don’t have any issues with anyone specific that brought me to make this suggestion.
But on another forum site, I did manage to make an enemy, and he proceeded to stalk my posts from one thread to another just to get under my skin. I “ignored” him, and it helped me to disregard his constant attacks. Maybe a similar feature here would benefit the community as a whole in case someone has the same issues here that I’ve had on other forums…
