Just its menu. Not the game.
Right, thats whay i said…
They use UE5 for the MCC menus…
Thats exactly what I said…
Which means…
-Yoink!-/343i have ZERO ISSUES with PAYING for the UE5 LICENSE
What, do you think that epic is letting them use the UE5 license for MCC menus for free, is the UE5 engine for menus differnet ffrom the ones they code games on?
They still have to pay for the engine…that they are using…
If it’s just the menu, then it’s probably the trial version that UE let’s users use for free.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t “trials” normally run out?
As much as I’d like 343 to come out of the shadows and explain themselves. It’s honestly probably for the best that they stay silent and only speak when they have an ACTION to back up their speech. Players are already tired of all of the shenanigans. The last thing 343 needs to do is speak out too quickly and make yet another mistake or promise something else they can’t(or won’t) deliver.
I’m just kidding, really. But no, not all trials use time limits. At my work, when too many people are using a certain type of software it kicks any new users into a trial version that has limited features.
I just don’t see a company as large as MS/343i using a free trial of an engine (sounds like you don’t either I’m sorry I didn’t catch the tounge in cheekness of the comment)
There was even the 'release MP an campaign seperately" thing, which 343 denied, which ended up happening.
Sure, mp was ‘open beta’, but nothing really changed at launch beyond BTB breaking for a month.
I’d certainly be less upset if they had anything other to say than “we’re reneging on another promised feature” while promising an extra battle pass to make up for it. The content has been so slow I have no confidence in their ability to turn it around, even when they cut coop to save time.
