Just did Metropolis Legendary solo in under 10 minutes and still shows the previous time of 38:00.
You have to do it over again. I ran into that problem as well.

Happened again on -Yoinking!- Gravemind you -Yoinking!- pieces of -Yoink-. What a horrible excuse for a game. Doing these -Yoinking!- missions over and over again to get scores and times only to have the -Yoinking!- game NOT RECORD IT. I’ve wasted So much of my time doing this -Yoink- to finally get it only to find out the game didn’t record it. -Yoink- 343 -Yoink- this game.

Same! Extremely frustrating! And only on certain levels. Won’t update my time or score on Covenent, but it did for Floodgate and a few others I played afterwards.
