How do you think 343 is going to announce the flighting Halo Infinite? Is the release going to be randomly announced? Will 343 give us a hint through their marketing campaign for Halo Infinite? Or will they just make the flights known in another Inside Infinite update?
I find it very odd that 343 would go right into talking about MCC and its updates with new seasons after the momentum they built with their multiplayer showcase at E3. A holiday 2021 release tells me that could potentially delay the game again or more realistically wait on where COD is releasing to make Halo Infinite’s release official.
I feel like flights will probably recieve some online marketing, as they want as many people playing as possible. As far as a release date for Infinite it’ll likely be promoted on the Infinite MOTD, probably during an Inside Infinite

There’s absolutely no reason for them to delay the game again, that’s just illogical at this point. The game is finished, it’s done, development of the base game is finished and multiplayer and campaign are playable. Only reason it hasn’t released yet is because it needs some more bug fixing and polishing! It’s probably just so they can be flexible with the date and release it based on how the next few weeks of development go. Like you said, they also want to release it at a time that would be best for competition from a business standpoint, as well as good times for marketing the game itself, during holidays. That means Fall/Early Winter time so they can really drive the marketing and get people to buy new Xbox consoles too.

Exactly, I think of a few factors will be play. One we already know Battlefield will release in late October. I believe the release date for Battlefield is October 22, 2021. Please correct me if I am wrong on this date. Then, Forza I do know is releasing on November 9th. Now, we are waiting on the release date for COD (Call of Duty). Therefore, should COD release in mid-November I say Halo Infinite releases in early December. However, if this is not the case Halo Infinite releases in mid November (November 15, 2021) or some other date around there. That is my prediction.
Can anyone please share Phil Spencer quote about Halo Infinite from the Dropped frames interview?

I have a strong feeling Halo Infinite will release in Fall, November, given how important that date is for Xbox and Halo. Not to mention they’ve been talking about their anniversary a ton

This would make too much sense not to happen. Let’s hope this is actual the case.

I don’t think they will see flighting as a marketing tool. Its big news for players that want to participate, but not more then a progression update on development for people just waiting for release.
Probably they will announce the period of flights on waypoint and on the Halo YouTube channel. The invites are the same as always: halo Insider
You receive a message that you’ve been invited for a flight and on your insider page there are instructions on how to participate. At least that’s how it’s handled with MCC

Does 343 send us (Halo Insiders) a direct message to say we are apart of the flights? Is it safe assume to you speaking from experience in terms of 343 flights?

Technically, flights can be used marketing. There’s a whole slew of streamers and pro gamers that’ll wanna get their hand on it and share their experience with the world. Plus the social media Halo fans and personalities that’ll be all over it. It’s indirect marketing but still, it works to get people excited.

Yeah I was invited on the flighting for MCC season 7. You get a direct message by email and a notification on waypoint to make you aware of it if you are selected.

That’s awesome! Wonderful to hear! Hope you get an opportunity to flight test the game.

Yeah CoD seems to be what 343 is waiting for. It would definitely be a mistake to launch the same week as CoD, so it makes sense for them to wait a bit. Last I heard they said they are within weeks of having the game complete for holiday 2021. I’m pretty confident there won’t be any more delays. If they did delay Infinite any more, I think it would lose all momentum and most interest in the game, even from the die hard fans.

Agreed. That is why I would like to know as do most people. Because at the end of the day I want Halo Infinite to succeed and be a return to form for Halo Infinite overall.
Either week the week before or the week during Thanksgiving is going to be the release of Halo Infinite.
It’s probably going to be flighted in Halo 5 somehow. MCC doesn’t have the Infinite MP gameplay message but H5 does.

I apologize but can you please elaborate on what you mean?
