Timed events in the flight

When the flight was out you had PVP slayer for a 2 hour slot which whilst I understand you are based in the US and obviously it was only a test, it’s unfair on the other flight testers around the world that could experience it.

For example I am in the UK and it was between the hours of 3am and 5am which for obvious reasons I don’t have to explain not feasible for most people. I am suggesting that stuff like this takes place over 24 hour periods or do multiple mini tests throughout and different times so other people get chance.

I agree, at the same time I feel the pvp test window was a global window and there was no option to carry out multiple pvp test windows geographically at convenient times for flighters. Flighting 2 hopefully will be more pvp focused and the flighters who missed out in Europe will be able to participate. I can’t wait any longer for this game !!!

I think we might have gotten a longer PvP window if the flight launch didn’t have that ~8hr server reconfiguration delay, but I don’t have any support for that thought besides a gut feeling.

I am surprised a little, because I was expecting an “under promise-over deliver” scenario. I thought that they would just leave the PvP open past the two hour window just because everything seemed to ne going relatively well once the flight actually started. It would have been a huge good-will gain amongst players…

It’s a really tough situation. Personally I was disappointed to not get more of a chance to try the Spartan bots let alone the PvP as UK and Europe time the Spartan bots launched after midnight.

From a PR/marketing perspective, keeping the flight live for just a few extra hours would have given a lot of European players a chance to try Spartan bots and a further short PvP window.

However, that’s also the key… this was a technical test, preview and flight NOT a beta test so the PR and marketing folk aren’t in charge of it. There will be other flights - likely PVP-focused with a much better build and that’s where we’ll get out fill.

Yes, it sucks we missed out, but also we have to remember that this was entirely not a PR exercise - it was all about getting the data. The reason for turning it off when they did was so they could immediately start crunching it that Monday morning.

Morsey you didn’t get to play at all!? It was open the whole time over all the days it’s just the PVP that was limited :hushed:

I understand it a preview and the first one just wanted to highlight it as I know to often people forget about the rest of the world when they do short windowed stuff like that

I work night shift, I understand why I wasnt accommodated but it would have been nice to play.
