As many know there are a lot of ugly unappealing armors in Halo 5, but what I’m wondering is, do you think the time wasted on those armors could have been used to make more in depth customizations like we saw in Reach?
What I want to know why was the seeker and cyclops helmets were made
In depth customization is just more fluff. Reach really wasn’t that extensive as people make it out to be, and if they tried incorporating that here just wait and see much more copy/paste armor.
there was fugly armors in reach too
There might be someone out there who likes your ugly ones. Yeah, they could’ve spent time doing in-depth customizations, but I don’t think that was their focus. With something like Reach, they would have to redo their entire REQ customization and I doubt that would’ve been possible with all the update deadlines. They could probably do it now, but obviously their main focus is H6.

This right here.

Who knows. I’m not an expert in game development, so I can’t say with certainty that 343 could have done X if they didn’t do Y. However I do think it’s very likely that they could have designed better-looking armors if they didn’t feel the need to create so many of them to fill up the req pool.
I think if they cut out customization entirely they’d have a lot more time and resources in all other aspects. Nobody cared about customization in CE and H2, why can’t we all just be the same again?

Because my mommy told me I’m a special
.
The multiple armors of the same armor is quite a waste of time. Looking through every armor to find one that I like, even that is a waste of time.
I like the ability to see different armors, they just did wayyyyyy too much on the same variants.
hey i got helioskrill from a gold pack
I would rather have more in-depth customization of Reach that the plethora of ugly armor we have in H5.
They might have thought it looked good?
Or they were trying to troll some noobs, xD
I’ve wasted more hours than I care to count. Seriously though Jorge’s Armor, Venator, and Wrath are the only three that look much different than the rest
Maybe like Reach armor? Eh. Although it was certainly wasted time for them. It wasn’t even a great idea in the first place for having 200+ armor in the game. Hopefully they have learned from this.
It’d just be nice in general if 80% percent of the armor wasn’t trash-tier . Less is more .

Na just JFO.
Halo 4 has the best customization and unlock system.
There really isn’t 200+ armor in 5, just 90+ with a bunch of paint variations

I think it’s exactly the opposite – the reason they put in so much customisation is precisely because it doesn’t drain resources in other aspects.

Better yet, why did it get passed the drawing board
But honestly, half of them are so goddam ugly, some have some sort of tumor on their head, some look like you have a egg for a head, one makes you a fab unicorn & the others makes you get picked on in middle school for the way you look (Looking at Seeker & it’s cousins)

Reach’s customisation was “here’s a standard helmet, lets stick bits on it and call it good”
Aside from the helmet, everything else was just stuck onto the MK V(B) body piece.
