general rants about how the game sucks
Here’s a thought to those posters, maybe take a break from the game and come back when the roadmap stuff is in the game. i’m not playing much infinite right now, mostly just mcc and modding.
waiting for forge and co-op, have only played a small % of the campaign so far. I think some of us need to quiet down and just wait things out.

complaining about people complaining is still complaining.
Let people do what they want. The universe won’t bend to the way you perceive it should be.
And, I don’t mind you bringing up your issue at all, don’t get me wrong.
But, this is the Halo Infinite forums, and the issues persist. Where else can the player base go to express their issues?
It’s not the same person making the same thread over and over, the mods would shut that down.
It’s simply, many players seeing the same issues causing the repetitive nature of the threads you are seeing.
Not one person that needs to step back.

You know, if things were done right from the start all these complaints people complain about wouldn’t even be a problem.

Criticism never stops. If the folks you’re referring to aren’t breaking any rules, I’d leave them be.

Here’s the funny part:
I have been. I’ve been playing very few bot matches a day to level up the pass, after that, its getting deleted off my hard drive. I spend 70 times more of my time playing every other game even considered dead on my Xbox. I haven’t played single player games in a hot minute but the Arkham Batman Series is amazing.
If we quiet down, one of two things will happen:
1. The Apologist Takeover. Only those who love to make excuses for the state of the game will be left and they’ll viciously attack whoever comes here wanting a change to the games even slight imperfections.
2. It Becomes Deafining Quiet. This will either lead us to 343 actually having some huge change because they realized they don’t have many fans left, or doing whatever they are still doing, considering it’s plausible they don’t even look at these forums.

I think it is time for me to step back from the forums. Because 343 couldn’t care less what is written on here. Not worth the effort

It’s all very negative, so incredibly negative.
Even here, on this topic you created. You have people basically making excuses for acting like a complete -Yoink!- because:
and:
Even on that Drop Pod update announcement, which I’m personally very happy about because they’re fixing things, the comments are so horribly toxic and hateful, it’s baffling.
It would be great if people could just, slow down, and approach this all more calmly. Like yes, the game’s not in a state we all would’ve liked to see it in, but it hasn’t been since launch. More than enough time has passed for us all to come to terms with the situation, and to look ahead to see what we can do to help get the game to where we want it to be without being spoiled, toxic brats.
So yes, I think some people really could benefit from taking a break from all this, even if it’s just for them to calm down.
No. I refuse. I won’t stop being angry but that doesn’t mean I’m going to RIP them apart.
It’s our responsibility as fans to continue to be critical. To tell them what does and doesn’t. Many of these people, myself included would shut if we were addressed.
Many of these things haven’t been.
Take into consideration the Elite Activist in Twitter. For months pounded against the walls. We finally got an answer the elite community; including me again! Has quieted down because we know they now know it is a good chunk of fandom who wants it, but it not on the table YET
good enough. That’s how this system works. Most if not a good portion already spend most of not all time in other games. But we want to play halo! So until these things change, we will -Yoink!-.
After they do, anyone left on the forums is likely complaining to complain.
The list of basic technical issues, store issue and customization issues isn’t long. It’s basic. So basic it is incomprehensible as to why they are even issues. These aren’t senseless ramblings (though sometimes… Myself… Well, included …) Aren’t for no good reason!

To be fair… when Halo 2 came out, it was bombarded with hate. Someone even made a website dedicated to bashing Halo 2 when it first dropped. Not sure how legit it was, but it was a thing. Not saying infinite is in a good state right now, because its missing a lot, but every new release gets bashed and criticized.
I completely agree that death threats and hateful speech / harassment toward a specific individual is something serious and completely immature, however that’s probably not the kind of comportments Lanzerat was defending. We are not on Reddit, Twitter or FourChan here, the worst feedbacks you will get is how people are tired of 343i mismanagement and how they will never touch any of their games again,
Complaining about something is fine, afterall we have that awesome thing called freedom of speech. But complaining about someone else complaining while they break no rule is equally toxic. If you are happy with the current state of the game, good for you. But don’t force other people or call them out because they don’t share your opinion.
People are angry and that’s completely understandable considering the state and mistreatment of the franchise for the past 10 years, especially those who took several months or years of break and only came back to see their beloved franchise in a worst state than when they left it. Here is a quick reminder of the projects that were poorly handled by 343i:
- Halo CE remaster (one of the least faithful remaster to date)
- Halo 4 (literally hired people who hated halo)
- Halo 2013 TV series
- Halo MCC (one of the worst launch in gaming history)
- Halo 5
- Halo Wars 2 (multiplayer is still broken to this day and full price)
- Halo Infinite
- Halo 2022 TV series
The studio tried to use COVID and the Ukraine conflict as an excuse to the game condition and ditched the fanbase for a broader audience. People need to be reassured, they want to know the franchise is in good hand.
Here is a list of problems in Halo Infinite campaign wise :
- No coop
- Removal of tank cannon glitch
- No mission select
- Lack of replayability
- Whole experience built around spamming grapplehook
- Horrendous Bosses balancing
- Lack of debris / explosions when destroying phantoms
- Lack of enemy diversity during the post part of the campaign
- Repetitive biome and wildlife
- Little to no weather effect
- Night cycles too bright
- Limited ammo for weapons variant (i mean c’mon, at least allow the needler variant to user regular ammo)
- Too many invisible walls / death barriers
- Ghosts get stuck in environment geometry (they are supposed to hover over low obstacles)
- Marines cannot board wraith turrets / scorpion flanks
- Lack of substantial in-game events / large scale conflict
- FOBs look nothing like what a Forward operating base should look like
- No option to disable weapon outlines / hitmarkers (example of franchises that has this option: Call of duty, Battlefield, Killing Floor, Alien fireteam, Apex, etc.)
- Lack of necessary cutscenes to demonstrate events (the UNSC got wiped out, how? What happened to all other UNSC assets that were not sent to Zeta Halo? The endless are worst than the flood, how? Cortana got tricked by the AI, how? The banished were aware of “the weapon” existence, how? The banished help the Harbinger, why? Cortana wanted to use the endless, why? Cortana blew up a part of the Zeta halo, how? Of all the possible times Cortana could have had a guilt trip it was only during Halo Infinite events, why? The infinity was a marvel of engineering using Forerunner and covenant technology equipped with the most sturdy alloys / shield known to humanity and somehow managed to loose against 3 ships barely the 1/10 of its mass developed and piloted by a bunch of space monkeys. How? What happened to the ship?)
Here is a list of problems multiplayer wise:
- Bad physics
- Poor playlists
- Customization behind paywall
- Horrendous challenges
- No progression system
- Desynch
- Bullet magnetism
- Scope glare as bright as a thousand suns
- No lobby
- Grenades bouncing everywhere
- Broken custom games
- Broken theater
- Terrible ranking system
- Forced weapon outline / hitmarkers
- Cannot disable AI chat
- Boring UI
- Bugs with the interface
- Overpriced shop with little to no rotation
- Armor customization limited to single core
- Cheating issues
- Bloom and over-the-top recoil
- Player collision bugs
- Inconsistent melee
- Laggy servers
- Hit registration issues
- Being ban when playing against bots in custom games
- Forced crossplay
- Dedicated server problems forcing the player to restart the game
- Server region lock
- Removal of skill based slide and coil jump
- No Forge
How many of these problems were resolved by 343i since the past 8 months?

Yeah I’ve been stepping away from Infinite due to lack of added content or fixes to existing issues since release. This game and developer atent worth my time anymore honestly.
Theyve had many opportunities to address these things. Its a dying franchise in terms of those who want to play socially. Its all geared towards competitive play, which is fine for those who want that.
But in terms of a casual social experience…there isnt one. Might as well go play mcc.

I get the impression that most of the people here on the forum, myself included, don’t play Halo Infinite as much as the did before.
My friends and I do still play MCC every weekend.

I’m sorry, just waiting things out is not going to change anything thing. Microsoft needs to man up and get in 343 to do their job we pay them to do, period.
I absolutely am not happy with how things have turned out, and suggesting I’m trying to shut down people who disagree with me is misguided, and disrespectful. Like seriously, how dare you?
I’m not complaining about other people complaining, it’s not that simple.
I would never bar anyone from voicing their feedback, that’s absurd. The problem I have is with how a lot of the feedback is given, like I said, there’s too much toxicity. The entire point I was trying to make wasn’t that we should all just stop and let 343 do whatever they want. No, it was to approach them in a civilized manner, trying our best to not let our anger dictate our actions.
I’m not saying people don’t deserve to be upset, being upset is entirely understandable, I am too. But like you said it’s been 8 months, that’s a lot of time to process that anger, and realize that it’s probably not going to get any better on short term no matter how hard you yell at them. We’re not ever going to fix Infinite if we keep shouting “343 YOU MUST DO THIS NOW OR WE ALL UNINSTALL!!”
Scarabs are too much fun, so they have been cancelled.

Gotta keep the game as competitive as possible
That being said adding a scarab playlist to the multiplayer would be sick. Imagine you have to defend a scarab from the enemy team and prevent them to board and destroy it, a bit like how you escort sgt Johnson with the scarab in H2

If you didn’t meant to call out anybody then i apologize , the way it was presented it seemed like it
While I appreciate the sentiment; I don’t think this will lead to good constructive halo discussion
