If you have good accuracy with the Magnum or any precision weapon, you can beat someone who is using the AR before they can kill you
You can beat the assault rifle with a pistol you just have to land every shot.
Or… Like probably a good few people will say “git gud”. The only times I really ever lose to the AR (Assault Rifle) is when they catch me off guard, if its a frontal attack a magnum or BR can easily take care of it if you place your shots correctly.

Dude the assault rifles don’t need a nerf. The guns in this game are incredibly well balanced. And as someone who always defaults to precision weapons I will say that if you land every shot and have even the slightest clue how to strafe then there’s no reason you should be dying often to ARs or SMGs at medium-long range. Even if they’re using a loadout attachment that helps, the only reason this would be consistently happening is either 1. You’re playing people who are just really talented with ARs or 2. You’re not very good with whatever gun you’re using and should consider a switch.
Loll if you are losing mid to long range to an assaulte rifle with a magnum you need to " get gud". Short to mid he should beat you unless you get a perfect.
Not because the only way to kill with an auto in previous halos were by melee , that they are OP. The are playing their role. You should go read a “magnum is OP” thread and find out what you are doing wrong lol.

Thats what i read in this post. Got a little confused, thought I was in the bungie forums by accident. But also, that damn raid sniper is so OP, like, whenever someone shoots me in the face, I die. Like WTF man…

And that’s why you’re only in platinum and gold league. Rarely have I seen an auto rifle beat a pistol from mid range. Also never seen an auto rifle out gun an smg or a storm rifle…maybe from mid range. Learn your weapons and use them appropriately. If you think you know that already then the only answer left is work on your aim. By far the best gun balance in the halo series next to the first halo.
