With the next release of content for h5 on its way from 343i. Can I make a suggestion? ADD OFFLINE FORGE PLEASE! It would be awesome if your internet decided to play silly buggers because there’s nothing worse than half-way through building for your internet to -Yoink- up and then you get kicked to title screen and then realise: “Well -Yoink-, I forgot to save.” (This is not a rage)
They know we want it, but as far as there reason goes, we’re not getting it anytime soon.
Gamecheat13 said in one of his videos that it’s possible and actually easy for 343 to offline forge but for whatever reason they haven’t added it yet
Ain’t happening anytime soon, don’t know why as well so yeah…

A bit too late for offline forge now…
Yes, it would be nice, but with halo 5 reaching it’s end in a few months (Halo wars 2 coming out in February) so there’s not much of a reason to add it now.
I believe that the most obvious reason we can’t forge offline is because Halo 5’s entire multiplayer is subscription based purely for the sole purpose of generating more profit for -Yoink!- and nothing more. I used to post protest topics about this all the time, but I gave up. You can’t tell a blood sucking giant to stop sucking so much.
Tom French, forge guy for those that don’t know, spoke about this a few weeks back. It’s something they have wanted to do, but did not have the time to fully work everything out to make it both a fully supported feature and one that did not impact the security and stability of the game and 343’s servers. From what I understand Tom French stated there is no offline forge cause 343 don’t want people “modding” it. Now correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Modding Forge and Customs extend Halo 4’s life span, at least in terms of keeping a somewhat stable population long enough for stuff like Race and other modes to be introduced as well as helping Machinima purposes? I mean the real question here is: “Since when the hell does 343 care about modders in Forge and Custom games?”

> People modifying the content offline and injecting potentially harmful stuff into the online services is the bad.
This issue affect a lot more things now that the game runs on dedicated servers (including custom games) as opposed to P2P, but they have always cared about modded content. Sure people can create some cool stuff, but it’s still against the ToS of Xbox Live and has been enforced since the first exploits for the 360 were released.
