Time to look at some numbers.

I just read a sad, sad post about the current state of H4 multiplayer and the probable future of H4 multiplayer if current trends continue. Here is the article:

http://www.halocouncil.com/community/index.php?/topic/13674-a-little-h4-population-analysis/

Now if you read the numbers and look at the graph

75 days from now H4’s population will be at about 10k (hopefully not)
and at the current rate we lose at about 10k a month

Now sure as long as I can find a game I am happy (I love H4) but thats a self centered thought process…

I want this game to grow and evolve in a good Halo direction. And with that being said 343 or whoever from 343 MAY read this…H4 DOES NOT WORK in it’s current state.

I know what there were trying from the beginning “were going to make a 343 Halo game since Bungie is gone from halo” well, we see how that turned out. 343 Halo is not what the community wants. I love halo 4 sure, but the community and numbers are showing that its time to throw the clock back a bit and go with what is proven and that is a bungie CORE (h2/h3) halo game. I’m not saying ditch infinity slayer since the concept is good (non competitive to the max) but good. All im saying is introduce some old school like a classic playlist (no sprint/no AA’s perks ect.) and fine tune the direction of the future of the series. That’s all I’m saying. Now this post will probably fall on deaf ears like hundreds before me. I just want whats best for this series.

You say you want to see Halo evolve into this new direction, but what do the numbers tell you that the majority think?

How to Design Halo 5
Arena Slayer (4v4).
Arena Objective (5v5 or 6v6).
Infinity Slayer (4v4).
Infinity Objective (5v5 or 6v6).
Big Team Battle (even starts don’t really matter, as infantry is not the focus, vehicles are the focus).
Infection
SWAT/Snipers
Action Sack
MLG
Rotational Playlists

Balance Loadouts.
Balance Ordnance.
Less Perks.
Teamwork orientated armor abilities.
Useful vehicles, new vehicles.

Boy was that hard…you don’t need to remove loadouts but arena gameplay should come first. Maps should be designed with such gameplay in mind. Weapons on the map would be used as pickups in arena modes or a source of ammo in loadout modes.

Don’t attack the OP. He isn’t selfish like the others who only care about their own ability to find a game.

We can have both directions in the same game anyways. So long as forced loadouts are an option, arena gameplay can (co)exist.

Forcing either side to leave the game isn’t going to help anyone.
