Time paradox!?!?!?

Guys, during the Epilogue at the end of ODST, it said

Epilogue
Oni orbital facility
One month after drop

Which means that the epilogue took place on November 21st. So on November 21st, Sgt. Johnson wanted to know what the covenant were looking for.
But by that time, wasn’t he and everyone else well aware of what was happening? What the covies were digging up under New Mombasa/Voi? I swear to god that by that time, Sgt. Johnson was already on the ark.
Is this a mistake by Bungie or is there an explanation to this?

Explanation: That SGT Johnson is a time traveling zombie cyborg…
…And he lost some of his memory form sparks beam of death and falling out of the warthog as {redacted} going to {redacted}.

PS Don’t mind the ape next to buck

It’s most likely a mistake and not a ‘time paradox’

Nope. 1 Month is not a definitive period of time.

The Epilogue likely takes place just before November 17th, when John-117 would return.

, and what about Miranda saying “sorry for the quick jump”, more than 10 days after they jumped?

I wouldn’t call this a time paradox. Just a slight mess up. A time paradox would be more like the grandfather paradox. I don’t think Sgt. Johnson is going back in time and killing his grandparents.

When you go into slipspace, what may be 15 minutes to you can be 2 years for everyone else. Relativity. Since this was a rather short jump, to them it happened in an extremely short amount of time, probably only seconds or less, but to everyone else it took a week or 10 days.

Wow, thank you scatcycle. I knew there was an explanation for everything! Thanks guys.
Can anybody tell me how to look up all the threads I have made? Waypoint says I made 17, but I can’t access them.
