Halo infinite has been delayed…and I think it’s unclear as to what quarter it’s going to even be released. With that being said…I’ve played halo 5 off and on for quite some time. I see people come and go from this game. Then there’s people like me who just love the gameplay so much they come back to it. They get the itch to play some arena.
I’m looking to either join, or create a tight knit group of players. A spartan company…clan whatever word best fits. A place where we all know each other. Where we aren’t just faded out names in a roster where no one ever goes online.
It sucks being the new guy in a group and all you do is sit there and hear everyone talking to each other that already knows each other while you never get to know anyone…which eventually makes you leave. or just being another number going towards the 100 member cap of a spartan company where you don’t even necessarily matter. Where you can stay in that company for an entire year without having played with a single member.
So what I’m all about.
-
I love playing arena. Mainly slayer and team arena being my favorite.
-
losing sucks, getting frustrated is normal, but I’m not a crybaby blaming anyone. I just like having fun in matches that feel fair and competitive.
-
I’ve played for quite some time. I know a lot of stuff but not everything. I don’t expect you to either. We can learn call outs together if we need to.
-
no annoying rules like changing your GT or matching emblems or colors. If you actually like that and want to do it occasionally for fun that’s cool. But it wont ever be forced if I’m the one leading. If I’m joining yours, well hopefully it’s just an emblem.
-
respect goes a long way. No cry babies crying over a team mate losing a power weapon or choking an easy kill. It happens. No one’s perfect. We play to have fun. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose… but losing should NEVER make anyone so butthurt they start screaming into the mic over a team mate making a mistake. Constructive criticisms can be good if communication is good…but please no one that’s a cry baby. I’m just too old for that.
-
if you want a power weapon, say so before the match starts. We can take turns, or if you’re a beast well hey it’s yours man. So long as you’re near it and can get it without the enemy team snatching it.

I use discord, and If there’s a group it’s very useful to have for many reasons. So I’m able to join your server or create my own if I get people who would like to join what I’m describing.
So if you’re an active player (playing at least once a week), and this sounds interesting to you or you think I’d be a good addition to your group send me a msg.
I’m also in the USA, California PST.
I’m more of a warzone (firefight specifically) kind of guy, I dabble in some of the other game modes to keep in fresh and interesting. I’m trying to get to 152 AND earn achilles, feel free to add me and if it works out… fantastic!! I’m all about making some more Halo friends. Fair warning, I’m pretty awful at the arena games… hence the firefight of it all…
Maybe you just need more playtime in the arena settings. It’s very different than big team stuff. You’d probably do good in the objective game types since warzone has objectives in it. I haven’t played WZ in a very very long time. The last time was when I was in a actual clan like a year or so ago.
I don’t plan on playing any big team stuff though. I just never really liked it. Sometimes BTB is ok but I hate how the h5 Br handles so it always turned me off.
Mmmm… I learned very early on that I’m going to suck at 99% of the arena games. I learned ever since the first Halo that I’m terrible at the actual MP matches. Stick me in a Firefight match against AI where I work with a team… now there I can hold my own and I’m pretty decent. In your slayers and capture the flags and what nots, I’m terrible against other people and I’ve never been able to get any better. I eventually get frustrated and end up giving up and leaving because I can only tolerate losing before I just give up. Then I found FF and found I’m actually pretty decent at those, I was even able to teach my wife some things and now more often than not (at least in Reach FF) she does better than me. Now with infinite being delayed and trying to get to 152 and trying to get into a company that still needs to unlock achilles, I want to try to diversify and play a little of everything, but even in playing assault this weekend, not really good at that either…

No worries. I mean I know how it feels. I lose SO often. I would be lying if I said it didn’t frustrate me. The matchmaking makes it even harder because most of the population left are hardcore players. I match against onyx and champs pretty often and I’m not even close to that tier. In the early games I played the game completley wrong though. It wasn’t until a friend of mine watched me play did I learn all the most basic stuff I did wrong. He actually competed at tournaments though, so some of his knowledge greatly helped me play better. I still suck tho, but I’m decent enough to have a ok time in a competitive match.

I’m pretty sure that’s me. And that’s exactly what matchmaking in Reach is. It’s all the hardcore that are left, and my wife and I just recently shelled out for gold so we could co op H5 and since then, I’ve tried getting back into multiplayer on reach to try and get to inheritor and unlock the helmet at the end… But even FF is nothing but hardcore gamers and it’s getting to the point where it’s too frustrating and I’ve gotten pretty disenchanted with it, which is why I turned to the multiplayer in H5. Multiplayer in H5 is at times pretty rough, but I’ve only tried a couple of the ranked matches that were featured to see what it was all about it and I feel like it wasn’t too terrible, I felt like most of the problem was because I’m pretty terrible and don’t really know what reqs to use and when and what weapons I should stick with… but I like all the different games modes with 5, I feel like I can switch pretty quickly and not as frustrated and what not as quickly… so there’s that…

Well hey bro if you’d like to be part of the group you’re more than welcome. I play with any skill level tbh. I’ve played with people even in silver in the past and gave them some tips that have helped me. I’m far from the best player of course, but how I see it is that I was once in your shoes. I went as far as to avoid halo altogether back in the day. I played mostly street fighter and mortal kombat fighting games because I was so bad I couldn’t have fun in halo.
So I went from feeling like that, to how I do now. Although it is frustrating at times, No Ai in the game can ever give the thrill another player can, and each player plays unique and thinks differently. When you are matched against similar skill level is when halo truly shines and becomes fun. In the mean time tho, it helps a lot to know what your play style is. Normally, if you don’t play as good as you’d like to, playing supportive of another player and team shooting as well as watching their flank can go a long way. The main stats besides kills and deaths are actually assists and damage dealt. I’d gladly take a player with higher assists and damage than someone who just sat in a safe spot killing all the 1shot enemies afraid to mess his stats up.
So if you’d like some help bro send me a msg anytime man.
If your still interested in possibly joining a group PMS Clan literally checks all of the boxes you listed. We pride ourselves on providing a fun, safe, and competitive environment for everyone, regardless of gender, in-game skill, ethnicity, etc. We prefer quality over quantity so we actually enforce our rules and have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to harassment and the like. Our only major requirements are that you are respectful to everyone, clan member or not, and if you join an active division you need to maintain joining at least 2 sessions a week. our sessions last at least an hour or two depending on the host. Plus, anyone can be a host and run lobbies once they become a member of that division. Casual members, members that have full rights in the clan but are not in a division, are welcome to join any lobby, any time, any division. As well as join in exclusive clan member-only game nights. Where we encourage people to change their names to represent the Clan, it is not mandatory. Neither is change you emblem, character colors, call tag, clan tag, etc. Come as you are, be respectful, and have fun.
For Halo specifically, we play on Xbox with both Halo 5 and MCC. A few of us play on PC but we don’t have enough to run scheduled sessions for it. We host at least one lobby every day, late week and weekends are our most populated times right now. Nothing is permanent though and most of us are pretty flexible and will play outside of our scheduled sessions too.
We have a discord open to anyone interested in playing with respectful, like-minded people or just chatting. Whatever floats your goat
You can hmu on Xbox if you’d like at Loki PMS! We also have a website at PMSClan.com
