Tier Sets

Okay heres a newish idea I guess. If anyone has played WoW they know what a Tier Set is. I’ve been playing WoW since the beginning same for Halo! And litterally seconds ago I thought “Huh Tier sets in Halo would be pretty cool!”

What I mean by this is simple:

In H3 Recon was a 4 piece set! Rouge wasn’t (Sadly)

So what if lets say for H4 they do something like this! Each Helmet gets its own “Tier” of armour to match the style of the helmet.

The pieces I’m thinking of using are the following.

Helmet, L/R Shoulders, Chest, Gauntlets/Forearms, Lets/Boots.

So each piece of armour would have another five pieces that match it to complete your look. So what does everyone think?

OffT:Also when map packs come out 343 could throw in new Tier pieces as an added bonus maybe 1-3 per map pack. Similar to how GoW added more character skins in each map pack.

I’d buy it. I like being able to mix match stuff as well.

Of course you’d be able to do that too! I just like my armour matching LOL!

I feel most of the armors should be designed in sets, and then the player can pick and choose their pieces. Of course there could be other pieces designed without sets, but pretty much each helmet should have a complete set of gear to go along with it. Also hopefully they can program the game well enough so that they can include addition armor with DLCs if they wanted.

Agreed. Armor should be designed in sets. I remember when I unlocked Operator I thought “where’s the Operator Chest Piece?” If Halo 4 armor comes in sets I will be very pleased.

I like it. It would also be cool if we could have different gauntlets, legs and boots. I think we should also be able to change our back plate.

With the boosters being given some focus from the teaser, we maybe be able to select from different types.

But armor isnt designed in sets, not usually. As seen in Ghosts of Onyx (when Halsey augmented parts of each individual armor) different armors are made when necessaary, but we dont always need a full set.

It should be, though.

I like the idea of this.

Sounds sweet along with the earlier idea of it being extra content in dlc. As long as they don’t become 240ms per set, like GoW3.

I slightly agree. They shouldn’t just make Recon shoulders or something like that. I don’t think they need to call it “Tiers” though. How about “Sets” instead. Sounds better.

Also, most of the complete armor sets in Halo 3 and Reach were ugly lol
