Tidal Canvas / Forge Opinions

Well, I don’t like it. Can’t even touch the water without death. Geez, and when I wanted to remake my OUTOFBOUNDS map out there but no I can’t.

People like water to forge in, not to die in.

Above is my opinion, but other than that what about all your opinions on forge or tidal canvas opinions?

Didn’t the water always kill you in previous Halo games? It’s nothing surprising. Besides, Forgers were asking for a water canvas to build around, not in.

I dunno if this helps you, but you can place grid items under the surface and they effectively become invisible.

Halo reach. You could walk in water and duck to a point in certain spots, or even build fully underwater in a out of bounds area. You had gun sounds diluted, it looked great. Halo 4 forge islands had an underwater glitch where it made it to an infection playlist. Halo 1 PC you could build in water.In reach you could build a ship and tredge knee deep water and feel like you were actually on a flooded ship. Read below quote as well.

No,y map abuses an out of map area for water. Forerunner Refinery, check it out and you’ll know exactly what I want to do. Budget up to 1600 is useful though.

Yeah. On tidal on live stream showed 1600. Plus 100 reqs coming to forge as well.

Well if you get underneath the water then it’s not actual water looking. It’s just darker and particles disappear, so if you could go under it, you wouldn’t even know you were in water. It was worse in Reach with just a thick blue filter.

That was the point. To make maps seem real but also seem semi-realistic. It also diluted gun sounds if you don’t remember.

When you sat the water touches you , you die instantly, do you mean LITERALLY as soon as your foot gets wet?
…or when you’re knee deep?
…chest deep?

What are we talkin’ here?

Personally, with all the Forging people did underwater outside of Riptide, you would think that the Forge team would realize that they didn’t need water to kill players at ALL on a Forge Canvas, and instead, leave the killing up to the Forger with soft and hard Kill Zones.

…looks like they STILL haven’t figured out how ridiculous it is that the UNSC has developed a super suit that protects you from gunfire, explosions, radiation, zero-oxygen environments…just not an inch of H2O.

So is this map (or any others) bigger than Reach’s Forge World? I swear every time I try to forge I explode because I hit a barrier…

A: It is either identical in size to parallax, or a bit smaller.

B: The OP’s statement that you “can’t even touch the water without death” is highly exaggerated.

The water looks more beautiful than any halo water to date, you get a soft-kill countdown when you are about knee-deep, and an instant kill at about waist deep.

Yeah and water in forge world’s water is more deeper i hope they pacthes that and lacking of underwater :confused:

What the guy below said. But again, look at my forerunner refinery map. I want to rebuild it or move it to tidal
Smaller by all of them because you can’t forge in water. I knew it, totally knew they’d ruin it. Remove water kill barriers all together and bam, bigger canvas.

I agree with you jetprime595

Another bad part is you can’t drive vehicles in the water that you can stand in. Instead: instant explosion.
