Remove SPrint. Raise base movement speed. Click LS for thrusters. Make Slide and Charge buttom combos instead of Sprinting until you reach “velocity”.
LS+Crouch= Slide
LS+Melee= Charge
Both with a cool down time so you cant spam thrusters before or after Slide or Charge.
I appreciate 343 trying to balance sprint but I dont understand why they kept it. I know its nerfed but why? So people are scared to use it??? Forced to not use it as much??? And from what I see its infinite.
Not trying to be negative because overall Halo 5 looks amazing and fun. This is coming from a fan since CE.
most peoples argument that sprint needs to go cause it influences map design, I’m pretty sure that if you put base movement to same speed as sprint you’d still have the same map design problem. and considering the maps are already tailored to sprint and its in beta stage I’m sure the maps will not get redesigned to compensate.
Yes, sprint is not needed. Why have sprint? Without it maps just become smaller so there is no need for it, sprint just artificially increases map size.

Because apparently MS/343i think they have to implement white-bread conventions, even when they are not for the better let alone add anything of substance to gameplay, to stay relevant in the AAA shooter market.
They could have done much more with the thruster concept but the train for major changes has already left.

Well, only some of the maps are in the beta, and Quinn has said that map spaces and cover can be polished/fixed, not to mention we are so far out from release, it’s not impossible for them to change the maps.
