I believe that the thrusters built on your spartan’s back will become the new jetpack for Halo 4. Think about how the Halo: Reach one got so many complaints from players, the Halo 4 version would be toned down, built in, and would make you feel more of the “superhero feeling”.

Im hoping they nerfed it a ton although I still don’t think it will work in COMPETITIVE Game play.

Interesting concept. I wouldn’t really have a problem with “thrusters” over the traditional jetpack as seen in Reach. If thrusters were to be introduced as an armor upgrade through Spartan Points in Halo 4, I’d imagine it could act like an extended jump. Think of it like those classic adventure games when you double tap “A” or “X” to get that double jump. Something like that anyway.
Can’t really complain, as long as I don’t see the whole flying around and spamming the assault rifle in Halo 4, again. Besides, they took out armor lock, one less gray hair to worry about for me.
I think changes to the jetpack have been made but no one knows for sure. Hopefully it is more of a thruster with a extra jump and not something that allows you to hover over your opponents and rain grenades down on them.
the only use i see of thruster pack is double or boost jump, acting like a jetpack ? wonder how that works
Thank you guys for pointing out double jumps, that’s a neat idea I never thought of.
If it is double jump I certainly hope I can double tap the jump button, it would feel weird to press a completely separate button to jump a second time.
