I’m sorry but from gameplay vids it looks WORTHLESS! You only go the distance of 6 steps and it moves around just as quickly as sprinting (including the take off and landing recovery), it takes a little long of a while to recharge, and the 3rd person view is just like WOOOAAAHH! Did I eat something bad?!
I like Halo 4 a lot and it’s a totally awesome game, but I wish 343 would just improve thrusters and make it the AA that I’ve been waiting for.
Ok, so lets say there’s a grenade that drops right at my feet, if I sprint, I won’t get away, but if I thruster pack away, I won’t get killed. That sounds pretty useful to me.

It’s fine how it is, if it was any better it would be OP, if it had anymore distance you wouldn’t be able to shoot anybody because they would just slide right behind you and assassinate you.
Thruster pack is just a replacement for Evade.
It’s meant to save your life, not make you Iron man 2.0

Completely irrelvant post, he isn’t complaining about the lack of things 343 is changing, he says thruster pack needs a buff, you didn’t read it did you.
It’s like an evade. Pretty usefull imo.

I like it better for Third Person.
But I do agree they should upp the effectiveness.
Increase the range, make the recharges shorter and make it faster.
In fact let us jump in the air like the Jump pack did.
Can you sprint backwards?! I think not!

As it is, it does neither.
You can also use it in mid air… so if for some reason you accidently fall off the map, if you are quick enough you can 180 and land back on the ledge
Used in the right situations in can be very useful. I sure remember the times evade has saved my life.

You can’t compare Evade to the current state of Thruster Pack.
Kind of off topic, but I’m imagining some amazing custom game types which utilize being able to have infinite use of AA’s. Thruster pack race, anybody?
I like how can thruster pack in mid air.
I can see the usefulness of the thruster pack. It does what its designed to do. Help you avoid danger like explosives.
