I really like it, the way the sparks are ignited and it looks great. But that’s just me.
At least it doesn’t negate all damage and slow down gameplay.
No if you watched the gameplay it just shoots the spartan forward but you do not teliport i have no idea why you think that.

I think that’s being a wee bit dramatic in explaining it. From what I’ve seen, it merely boosts players speed in the direction they want to go. Not any different from evade from what I saw.

Bro come on did you not watch the gameplay footage from yesterday. All you do is shoot in the direction of about 10 feet. And throw sparks everywhere so then everyone knows your out after that haha.
P.S.- Guys this is from the IGN article, those guys over there are brain dead. Useless material when coming from IGN.
Maybe the guy was tired when playing and/or blinked every single time he used it and so it looked like he suddenly appeared someplace else. But from videos it looks like it’s just a really short burst of speed, kinda like evade, except you’re not flipping around all over the place so it should be simple enough to keep shooting your target so long as you don’t panic from all the sparks.

It’s Evade without the roll. Okay, so you can Energy-Sword-Dash up to an opponent, or dash out of the way of a vehicle, or dash-double-pummel… which you could already do with Evade in Reach. No one complained about it.
I somehow doubt a sudden burst of speed is worse then complete and utter invulnerability plus an EMP.
Also, Thruster Pack doesn’t destroy incoming vehicles and rockets. At least I hope it doesn’t. Diving into rockets and Ghosts to destroy them is not the way I envisioned Halo 4’s multiplayer.

It’s basically vertical evade, and yeah, I like it, I wouldn’t mind Evade coming back as well so you had up and forward.

Except the roll, which was the awesome part. So now it’s basically just having your speed bumped up for a couple of seconds. Not something I’ll be using. Definitely not something I envision as overpowered.
After Armor Lock, nothing can be bad anymore.

Pretty much this, except there’s a little flair involved (the sparks- really cool effect) and you don’t actually roll, but I doubt you can shoot when you’re thrusting.

You also can only use it once and then you have to wait for the cool down. Unlike evade, your player model is still completely exposed and is still fairly trackable, meaning that the player doesn’t go flying across the screen and you aren’t granted warrior status by turning into an invulnerable Spartan ball.
I thought the sparks flying was the speed boost ability power up not the thrusters. Walshy says OS and max damage are also in.
