Thrusters aren’t a stolen idea from Advanced Warfare. -.- How the flip do you people say it’s copying CoD when thrusters were in HALO 4. .-.
Sprint is clearly a necessity because after playing the MCC the only fast paced game is HALO 4 simply because of the sprint. Yes, I have been able to find matches in MCC, I’ve played all 4 games in small slayer and btb matches and HALO 4 is the only one that feels quick and that is a good thing. Idk why you’re all going nuts over this.
Edit: Oh and ADS isn’t really ADS it’s simply the new zooming in animation. You de-scope when you’re shot at. So idk why everyone is tripping, I would really like to know what the big deal is.

Well a shooter without sprint is a slow -Yoink- game like I said I played all 4 HALO’s online already and 1-3 are very slow. ADS isn’t really ADS it’s just the animation. If it wasn’t then why haven’t we seen the BR and DMR zoomed in? Because that’s how they’re zoomed in. So idk how anyone is going nuts calling this ADS.

Screen clutter. And as thousands have stated before me, a shooter lowers it’s base speed to make sprint have the illusion of being fast. Watch videos of Quake 2/3.

So it’s just an illusion that when I play HALO 1 in slayer online it’s so slow and theres barely even any noise going on and when I play HALO 4 everything is all chaos (comparatively speaking) and there’s lost of noise all over the place? Damn, I guess I have been fooled. /sarcasm
I played slayer on Hang 'em High and it was the slowest most quietest game ever, now I guarantee you if hang 'em high were on HALO 4 it wouldn’t nearly be as quiet and slow as HALO 1 is.

Ground pound, sprint and smart scope all work in a totally different way compared to cod. Ground pound needs to be charged and aimed, sprint use stops shields from generating and is tied to melee and slide. Smart scope is not ads, please don’t try to make it out to be, I’m tired of having to explain it.

Not sure why you think I was talking about past Halo 1-3 when I specifically referenced Quake 2/3. If you played Halo 1 online with barely any noise going on and thought it was slow, I can’t help you there. I’d say try Battle Creek with more than four people. With regards to Hang 'Em High, try the pistol.

And I’m not sure why you think I was talking about quake when I specifically referenced HALO 1-4 and CoD. Whatever map I tried and weapon is irrelevant. If anything the pistol would make it even quieter because it’s so damn slow. My point is if Hang 'em High were on HALO 4 it wouldn’t be as slow as HALO 1 and that is mainly due to the fact that HALO 4 has sprint. That is no illusion. That’s about as dumb as ebola is the governments population control method. XD that’s how stupid that sounds.

No need to get up in arms over this. I’m not insulting you or anyone else. The idea of speed in an FPS isn’t relegated to movement speed alone. I say try the pistol because it has a 3-shot kill time–the fastest killing base weapon in any Halo. This increases the speed of the game significantly due to how quickly players are killed (on Hang 'Em High especially considering its wide open nature), even if it isn’t speed with regards to how quickly you can move from point A to point B. With regards to noise, Hang 'Em High will always be quiet when players are good. But I’m not sure what noise has to do with the speed of the game.
I don’t understand how being constantly locked into a clunky forward only animation with no shooting makes a shooter fast paced. Wouldn’t a fast shooter be one where you are almost always shooting like classic Halo gameplay on small maps?

I ran a test on Halo 4 and 3 and the best speed was not lowered at all. Well, at least it took me the same amount of time to cross Ragnarok and Pitfall as it did Vahalla and The Pit.

So you’re saying HALO 1 has the potential to be faster paced than HALO 4 if everyone used the pistol in three shot kills? Because I ain’t talking about how fast you can kill someone, I’m talking about how fast you move and after playing all four HALO games online in small slayer and btb matches, which i was never able to do before but can now thanks to the MCC, I’ve concluded HALO 4 is the fastest paced of all and that is pretty much because of the sprint. If I recall correctly, both those maps are 1-to-1 conversions of their former versions. And generally, if base speed isn’t lowered, then map size is greatly increased to compensate for the sprint utility. Hence why people are having issues with the recently revealed “Bigship”.

Potential, yes, but like you said, it’s a speed with kill times rather than movement. The quicker the kill time, generally, the faster paced a game is considered to be. This is one of the reasons Call of Duty is considered very fast paced–a “twitch” shooter. Movement speed is another type of “speed”. One of the reasons sprint can be considered to cause an illusion of speed is because in order to compensate for sprint, base movement speed is lowered or map sizes are increased (or both), meaning that there is more distance to travel. But since you’re running, it seems like you are covering the distance quicker, when in reality the map could have been shrunk to match base movement speed for the same effect without sprint.
The biggest problem people have with sprint aren’t the mechanic itself, but what it does to the game–engorged maps, time where you can’t shoot, etc. Like most arguments on the forum, it seems to be an old vs. new thing with neither side being entirely in the wrong. Personally I don’t like sprint for the reasons stated–particularly the larger maps–but I’m also an old Quake gamer. I’m pretty happy with the shorter kill times in H5.

Isn’t the Map called Truth?
The maps being 1:1 conversions is exactly what proves how fast base player speed is. In truth it is actually two seconds faster than 3.
I also did test runs on all the small maps for Halo4 and 3. Halo 4 maps are only bigger by an average of 3 or so seconds.
Never heard anyone say Thrusters were stolen from COD. They still don’t have a place in Halo multiplayer. No AAs do and neither does sprint. Well unless of course you want Halo to die then sure keep them in

LMAO Judging from your posts you did not play all Halos in their Heydays so don’t even try to lie about it.
Sprint is not nessecary in halo. Just a few years ago Halo 3 was THRIVING without sprint at the top of the XBL charts.
ADS in Halo 5 most defintely is ADS. Do you know what ADS is?
