So I stumbled upon THIS video on how to perform this glitch. As small and difficult it is to perform, I just want to bring this to 343i’s attention. Please patch.
all he did was stick himself in the head, and shoved his head through a wall via thruster pack
you don’t even need thruster pack to do the glitch
no patch required really…
I’m pretty sure that when using the thruster pack you are invulnerable for a few frames while its active.
get the timing right once you’ve been stuck or are about to be splattered etc and you wont die.
It’s because when you thrust into a wall, the Plasma goes inside the map geometry. Since your body is mostly outside, and explosions don’t travel through walls, that’s why you stay alive.

You can be shot while thrusting.

I said a few frames while thrusting, not the entire duration of the thrust.
a few frames is not a long time (30 frames per second) but that being said I don’t know for sure, i’m just repeating stuff i’ve heard/read… i’ve never tested it myself
No, the guy a couple posts above got it right. You could actually do it in Reach with Evade if the grenade is IN map geometry when it detonates. It’s only because of that that you would survive.
