TL;DR: Thruster pack is a tool that ruins the flow of balance and if you like it then you have no idea what makes a Halo game.
Thanks to this stupid feature 343i thought was a good idea to throw off all types of balance was the thruster pack. In the old Halo games if you jumped your momentum would dictate your next move, in other words: You had to be careful with your movement or else your opponent will predict your movement and outplay you due to you being too predictable, forcing you to learn how to play carefully which made you a better player.
Thanks to Halo 5 that is blown completely off the table, which promotes idiots to spam automatic weapons and thrusters to throw off anyones aim. People don’t know what they’re talking about when they think thrusters are good in this game, they aren’t. They’re just a tool to stop people from learning from their mistakes because they can get away with playing stupidly.
Thruster packs are only in the game to pander to the new Halo players who have no idea what a good Halo is and to simpletons who think this ‘over the top’ movement is a good idea because it makes them look ‘cool’.
A feel for Ske7ch as he’s got to put up with these complaints and criticisms on a regular basis, he’s the only hope us ‘old school’ Halo players have.

I would, but your devolved developers decided to launch the game broken then abandon any support for it.
The game isn’t even in the top 45 on xbox’s “most played” so good luck finding a game that isn’t “team slayer” or “BTB”
People just quit if they cant get their way which makes the teams unbalanced.
I cant wait for this post to be taken down due to mods needing their ‘safe space’ from criticism.

Are you referring to the Thruster pack use in Arena or Warzone?

Yup… I definitely dig the high mobility. There’s a definite skill gap in how one uses their abilities over others.

Given the contents of the recent update, I’m happy for them to continue to “steer the ship”.
Aren’t crouch strafing and Ghandi hopping also was to throw off enemy aim? They should just make Halo where you’re completely stationary in a shooting gallery.
I for one love jumping one direction and quickly thrusting in the opposite direction to throw people off.

Bold 1: While the current lack of support is somewhat disheartening, they did offer us the ODST campaign, ported as something of a compensation, and the most beautiful Halo map ever, Remnant. I think Remnant is even better looking than Mercy, to be honest. Most of the game’s issues were fixed within… six months? of release, and although some people unfortunately still have problems, I think it’s safe to say that most of the issues have been fixed for at least most people. It is, at least, playable.
Bold 2: This statement is false, matchmaking in MCC is actually fairly quick, although sometimes you will need to back out and go back in. I can find matches in all the playlists, even on days that aren’t Friday or Saturday.
Bold 3: This is unfortunate, but usually the people quit before the game is set to be played, thus restarting matchmaking.

I think you just like tossing words into a soup and then thinking that makes you savvy with respect to game design. But you end up saying things like “flow of balance,” which is hilarious because I really don’t think those work together like you think they do.

I see your point, however if the result of that is to pull out an SMG or an AR and just spray and pray due to the bullet magnetism and lack of aim assist is the most common response then it doesn’t help at all, its just going to encourage those skill-less plays.

Many mods from different forums take down posts as a way to avoid negative feedback, Reddit is a prime example. mostly under the ‘Low effort’ meme even though the structure of the argument is well presented.
