Thruster pack invincible frames?

Is there a point when your thrusting when you can’t be hit? Also any tips for winning dmr 1v1s

This is in no way a pro tip and many would prolly shoot this down but one thing i’ve noticed(and I’ve noticed it alot) is that most of the time(unless literally right in front of them) you want to shoot it ALOT slower. Most people feel that since it blooms so much slower in 4 that they should shoot faster however it will still take them 6-7 shots to finish the kill. But if you shoot slower your shots will be almost laser accurate so I feel it’s worth it.

Also if you can maybe have friends practice with you in a custom and just practice straffing and tracking them. do this a bit first then throw on over shields and dmr each other. It sounds silly but it really helps. and don’t just do it on haven(as everyone does) do it in all kinds of situations. Like on abandon that front ramp from ring 3, or on complex, b3 (the big building in the middle I refuse to call it the “seven” building) down to the ground. Just different places and you will both get your accurate better timed and practiced BUT partially muscle memory learn the angles for future fights

Also I don’t believe there is actually a true point where you are invincible during the thruster but I know using it it hs darn sure seemed I was invincible some times. While at the same time, I’ve been killed in almost every frame at some time or another as well…so I’m more inclined to believe no.

I don’t know how much you know, but the number one tip is that it can take shields out in 4 shots and can kill on the 5th shot if its a headshot

Am I the only person who almost NEVER gets in DMR 1v1s in reach? Its pretty easy for me to win those, but i always end up getting screwed over by 3 people at once. Ive always played lone wolf and never had this problem until 4…whatever.

I haven’t noticed any frame advantages or frame invincibility with the Thruster Pack and i use it a lot.

To win 1v1s more, be more aware of your surroundings. 1v1s in Halo quickly escalates in 1v2, 3 situations. Meaning unless you run away or not engage, you are going to die if you challenge.

So be sure you can win the fight without taking on the whole team. Move around the map smartly; not mindlessly.

Also, use your grenades to weaken your opponent. This takes practice to do, as with many things in Halo. Pay attention to your HUD as there are hit markers, so you can tell if hit someone or not.

Make sure your strafe is good. It’s easier to say than to do but try to always stay on the move, throw in crouch’s in between movement. What also helps to clean up one shots is to jump as you shoot, it makes killing someone easier (in my experience). The better your movement, the harder it is for the other player to hit you.

Use cover to your advantage. Pop in and out of cover while shooting to get hits on your opponent. Cover gives you protection against enemy attacks to, so try to expose you’re self long enough to attack but not so much you take too many hits.

If possible, try to make sure you are above your victim. It’s harder to aim up and easier to aim down (laws of gravity i think or some BS like that). If you are at a disadvantage in height, try to change that and place your self at an advantage.

Most importantly besides combining the list above into your gameplan, stick with your team. Winning 1v1s is nice but it’s best to not think like a lone wolf and more like a team player. Sure it’s nice to have teh epic k/d but assists are just as important. If you can’t finish someone off, your team mates can and that means the opponent dies anyways. Don’t challenge if you have no shields, let your buddies take the heat. The more the other team dies, the faster you’ll get your win. So work together to bring down the other guys.
