Thruster Pack Breaks Flood.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this can I? I mean, there is a difference between an advantage that only the flood has, to an armour ability that defeats the purpose of the game.

Too many times have i tried to camp, or hold position in a corridor, only that have the flood thruster pack, and BOUNCE around, all while able to lunge at me and get the kill. It’s practically impossible to predict when, or where they will go, and you physically don’t have enough time to defend yourself.

It really does ruin the whole “survival” feel of the game, when you can’t even get a kill before being infected at times. I’m no noob at infection either, i’ve played too many games across 3 titles, and even won a halloween infection comp a couple years back.

I propose that it should be removed from the gametype, and be replaced with the flood having the ability to sprint.

It still allows quick movement, while still giving time for survivors to actually make some use of the magnum, without being instantly overrun. With the already increased speed and jump height that the flood will have, i think this is more than enough for them. If the ability needs replacing, then at the MOST only add in jetpack. This way it helps the flood to get to hard to reach places, while still making them vulnerable.

Reach didn’t need anything other than sprint, and Halo 3 didn’t need anything extra. They were balanced, and fun.

I think that this issue needs to be fixed in order to make Flood a long lasting favourite of Halo 4. None of my friends will play it now, because of the thruster pack issue. That isn’t right,

and i hope you people agree!

Well the flood needs something that gives them an edge over the survivors.

The thruster pack is needed, otherwise the infected players have way too much of a disadvantage early on.

But Reach didn’t need it. Halo 4 doesn’t need it. It’s too OP, especially once there are 3 or 4 zombies in the mix.

Trust me, Sprint would make it more enjoyable and not frustrating, because that’s all it is at the minute.

At the very worst, they could limit the Thruster Pack to Alpha Zombies only. This may fix it, but will still have rages going on.

I agree Sarge. I enjoyed Flood in Reach, disappointing in Halo 4. Half the time, I thrust myself off the map everytime I thrust.

What also broke the flood is giveing the humans pro vision

Yeah, in my opinion Evade was even worse because that was a lot more controllable.
