Yes, many us are aware of this icon. Only speculations, nothing more.

might be one of those “perks” people are talking about. its (hopefully) not a jetpack and will act more like a double jump feature (i’m trying to be optimistic here…)

It is pick up only. Think about it. Did you see anything on the top left corner on any of the other MM footage? No you did not. Which means that we don’t have loadouts in Halo 4, instead you pick them up like in Halo 3.
