Throwout/Down tools

I wonder if the bubble shield or power drain or gravity lift will make a reappearance in Halo Infinite. I really enjoyed those extra tools that Chief had in H3. One of my favorite Halo memories was seeing a CGI trailer of Chief throwing down a bubble shield. So awesome!!! Halo 3 CGI Trailer - "Starry Night" (Superbowl commercial) [HD] - YouTube

It’s very complicated as to what 343i can bring to Halo Infinite. They have the option of bringing the armor abilities from Halo 3 or Reach or even 4, or they might just stick to the power-ups from Halo 5 Guardians

I do miss the Bubble Shield. I don’t really care if any of the other equipment comes back. Overshields and Active Camo should definitely come back. Otherwise, I think we’re good on Armor/Spartan Abilities. Most people are pretty sick of them at this point. They just add an unnecessary layer to the game in my opinion.

I wouldn’t mind them in campaign, stay away from multiplayer though, at least ranked.

Yeah I’m more of a social multiplayer person. I dont care too much about the ranked I specifically enjoy big team. It would be fun for btb if they had a way to just remove them or not add them in the ranked game types. I really enjoy the vehicles in Halo and bubbleshields and powerdrains added another layer to the game which I enjoyed.

No thanks.

The equipment from H3 was (and still is) useless and unnecessary. I was glad when they dropped it and hope equipment remains good and buried forever in the past with H3 where it belongs.

Overshield and Active Camo should remain in MP as pick ups, but not as carried equipment.

That said, I wouldn’t lose any sleep if they did bring this back either but (since you’re asking) I just don’t personally want it. The only one thing I really must have in Halo Infinite to be able to play it is sprint.

Powerdrains stopped vehicles momentarily and you had to know how to use it and when to throw it. And bubbleshields you could still engage in combat by walking into it or driving into it. It allowed you to regenerate your shield and when you were capturing a territory you could protect yourself and teammates for 15 seconds which I thought was pretty cool. Idk how it was useless though. Can you explain?

Gladly.

I think Halo just doesn’t need carried equipment like this because fixed spawns for these things offers more balanced and competitive gameplay. There are multiple other ways to stop vehicles and having the overshield in fixed location/s on the map is more balanced than having one or two players running around holding a bubble shield “trump card.”

I thought carried equipment was sort of a failed experiment for Halo in H3, which IMO, is ultimately why this disappeared from the franchise after just one game.

I have other (minor) personal dislikes about carried equipment but I’ll spare you the nit-picking about feelings here. Of course these are all just my opinions on the subject since you’ve asked. Honestly carried equipment isn’t a make or break for me (keeping sprint is my single only “make or break,” for Halo Infinite).

Bubble shield and grav lift would be awesome. I could do without the rest.
