Throwing and catching the flag

Heres the thing Flag juggling is ok but throwing and catching The flag would be better could you imagine how cool Griffball and flag games would be, much faster paced!

(this goes for the oddball as well) any objections?

It’s faster to just hold the bomb and move around in Grifball then to throw it around. No-one’s doing it because it takes longer.

I am talking about halo 4 and a new feature. no ones doing it because it cant be done yet

I think being able to “throw” an objective would be pretty cool. Not in matchmaking but in custom games. You could make some pretty crazy stuff, then.

Tru dat! I’m sure that even in matchmaking it’s a good idea, I mean as long as both teams can do it why wouldn’t it be fair?

you can already throw objectives, jump, look up, press y, you’ve now thrown the objective and i expect it to be the same in halo 4.

though, customizing the distance could be pretty cool …

I am right in thinking you can not “catch” an objective in mid air and you have to wait to till it hits the floor to pick it up?

What I am getting at is being able to pass objectives a short distance similar to Rugby or Basketball.

If we could spear people, or pass the flag to teammates that would be awesome.

You can catch things midair, it’s more an issue of you can’t throw them very far.

oh, uhm, i don’t see anyway that could be incoperated into halo with it being extremely irratating…

have objectives passed to you at the worst time be bad players, notifications popping up asking you to accept the throw, people not accepting your request and failing when you pass it to them. …

i really can’t see anything good from it TBH, if something like this was implemented then it could make objective a whole lot easier, reducing the skill gap …

skill gap really? having to pass the ball narrows skill gap. shakes head

yeah, it makes it easier to hold down objectives, push on for bomb plants, steal flags and such …

want that flag? run in, grab flag, turn around, throw it to teammate instead of walking it out, now your teammate can walk it more safely to the capture point or pass it to another teammate who ran into position to grab and cap.

That sounds great and don’t forget both teams can do it

After Halo 2 the distance you could throw objectives was nerfed, heavily. I support its return. I don’t support rugby type passing.
