I know that Halo’s gameplay must go on… but… can you add only a Throwback playlist in Halo Infinity? Not social obviously but permanent and ranked. With this features:
Name: Classic Slayer
Gamemode: Slayer
No abilities
Old physic and movements
Start weapons: H2 Battle Rifle / Assault Rifle
Old weapons only (no prometheans) with old damange standards
Only the best forge remakes from HCE to H3 (mostly those used in MLG tournaments).
Im sure there is a chance we will see them in a rotational playlist if they decide to go that route. I did like the throwback playlists the best when they were around in H5. More so the maps, especially the H3 remakes, sooo good.

Yes man, remake of old maps in H5 forge look very good. But i mean a permanent playlist, not rotational…
I think the H3 throwback stylist in H5 proved this kind of thing can thrive. If Infinite continues the advanced mobility style I would love a classic playlist. It most likely wouldn’t be ranked though.
I really can’t see 343i creating a separate sandbox with its own aiming system, bullet magnetism, weapon balancing, map design etc., especially just for one playlist. Not to mention it would be easier on the devs creating a “basic” Halo and add features to it, rather than making an AMM game just to strip features from it.
You can’t balance a game around advanced movememts and than hope it will work too without them. The throwback playlist in H5 proved it: it was a hell lot of fun, but also had way too many problems.

Basically everything I already stated before…
In detail I would say aim assist and bullet magnetism first and foremost. Even a noob like me was destroying people with the sniper. Also fire rate was a bit too high, grenade action zones were too big and the damage output of automatic weapons were too high. Jump hight I believe was increased, but it was still too low for classic Halo. Weapons were rightfully limited too, but that means heaving a brutally limited sandbox too. And who knows what I forgot!
Throwback was cute and a really nice addition to H5, but it was just a shadow of the real Halo in a game that wasn’t build for that kind of gameplay.
