There are at least 500 posts talking about Infection. 99% of the community wants it. Even ANNOUNCING it would be enough to satisfy us. Do not wait until hope is given up. 343, stop waiting to announce it. You are LOSING people over this. Just get onto Twitter, Facebook, or even B is for Bravo, and crank out the statement, “Infection is confirmed for Halo 5. You want it, you got it!” Even if you haven’t started working on it yet, all the community wants is for you to confirm that Infection will be a thing. Don’t pull a Valve and expect hype over a lack of confirmation to carry you, as it won’t. To conclude, all we want as a community is for you to throw us an undead bone.
These posts are almost pointless. Either 343 is already working on it and this post isn’t doing anything to speed up the process, or they’re not working on it and have a full schedule of stuff to finish for the next four updates.

Community motivation is never pointless my friend. If you want something, you’ve got to ask for it. Letting things fade into obscurity is what COD fans do, but Halo fans are a little more willful.
Infection needs new maps for infection I think it’ll be here and I also think that something is going to happen where the community grows maybe a twitch event will come out and and something will happen that will cause people to turn heads I am pretty sure there will be more maps etc. I know they are not going to just waste H5’s potential…I am not rushing it there might be an entirely new perspective on zombies…So we’ll see…All I know is there should be a new wave of maps to come about and a veto system…I remember the old H2 days of playing infection on Foundation and getting the worthog in the room to fend off zombies or even standing on top of the thing in that one room and even getting out of every map on Halo 2 except Containment I even made it out of Coagulation…So yeah…This is closest to the most fun I’ve had on a Halo game since H3…I used to -Yoink- so much in H3 custom games nothing beats having a lobby of friends and playing BTB though and being the warthog driver…Idk I really just think it needs new maps or something that will get people to talk about it…The bigger the population the more money spent and the more people interested or hearing what the buzz is about will ensure that these things happen in the game…I’m sure it’s already there but when it comes down to it the game needs new maps for arena game types more people need to want to play Halo more people have to want to work on Halo and care about the fanbase…But I’m sure zombies will be back soon. I’m just keeping my eyes peeled.

Agreed, we have to remain hopeful if Infection is to return.
