While playing Firefight for a while, I noticed that 343 has improved this mode from the beta. However, there are changes that are not necessary or too much. In my opinion these needs to be changed. Apparently 343 will continuing updating Halo 5, so hopefully they tweak Firefight.
Respawn Timer: Way too long. Each round is 5 minutes and the final round is mostly about killing 5 bosses within 5 minutes. If you die once, you are playing only 4 minutes and 30 seconds, twice, a minute out of round, which is 1/5 of the round. There are debates over the timer, and my side is to reduce timer to normal 10 seconds for every round.
Shied While Spiriting: Many people would disagree with me about the shield recharging while sprinting. I think players should be able to recharge shield while sprinting. The A.I.s have insane accuracy, like on open area, players are pretty much guaranteed to be killed. You might argue with use armor mod that allows recharge of shield while sprinting. My counter argument is I do not have that armor mod. There shouldn’t be punishment for sprinting on Firefight, just make it like campaign.
Hijacking Vehicles: Fighting boss without hijack is boring as hell, in beta we could do this, but somehow on actual thing 343 decided to remove it. The bosses are just bullet sponges and just shooting is not that fun. Hijack brings variety to gameplay and give players opportunity to drive vehicles that they never had chance to use it because they don’t have REQ card for that. Using Plasma Pistol and EMPing Phaeton and stealing from Soldier was satisfying. And it makes no sense, when Soldiers can hijack you and you cannot. Bring hijacking back!

Sure it does make players to act carefully. Have you been a situation when a bunch of Promethean spawned back of you and kill you instantaneously right after the intermission?
But the most critical thing we’re missing is the Firefighter Armor Set so we can finally get some baggy threads and assassinations performed with a hose nozzle instead of a knife.

I am fine with 30 seconds, but If I have a chance to do about timer, I would reduce to 10 seconds.
As I stated, what about people who do not own Upgraded Thrusters?
Limiting action is not one way to increase the difficulty.

Meh, it would then make the upgraded thrusters redundant. Tbh I think the AI just need slightly reduced accuracy. They’re just op asf atm.
Personally I think all non boss vehicles should be boardable. Making them not so is just -Yoink!- on an integral part of the sandbox to make it harder.

And we need Firefighter’s red truck so we can make ground muddy and slippery.

And running to the objective takes about 10 or more seconds. Plus if you on que to spawn vehicle, then i becomes way too long. I actually wasted my few Banshees due to this respawn timer. When I spawned with Banshee, the game was over.

No it just punishes you for trying to use a strategy and then failing miserably.
I and many others do not feel compelled to fight better because of annoying respawn timer. A game is supposed to be fun, not boring (aka respawn)
It seems like the long respawn time is 343’s equivalent to limited lives, which is what alot of people asked for. It makes sense to me. It also gives me some time to choose my next REQ or plan what I want to do.

i agree with this-to a point. at some point you have to expose yourself to get some of these kills and will probably die. this is especially true in the later rounds with hoards of bosses, and thats when it gives the biggest penalty.
