Lol do they even know what they are doing its been 3 months and the major problems with the fame has ydt to be fixed 343 is prob one of the worst slowest patchers out there i know juat incredible how bad im sorry dont wanna be all to negative but cmon we deserve those major problem fixes allready it should have been fixed like first two weeks… not gonna play any more games from them after this abysmall of a game
Are we just going to ignore the updates to the challenge system and playlist changes. Yes, I would also like more, but let’s not pretend like they haven’t done a thing.
Lol those problems where nothing compared to the core problems it has im not talking about minor tweaks
Well that’s what the community was shouting the loudest about not too long ago.
343 is understaffed and trying to hide that fact (rather poorly I might add). Hence why all the delays and why the major fixes and updates will come out next season.
Like that is an excuse. Half a billion dollars should have ensured a god dang functioning game even if you had to outsource tones of staff, which they did. Not like they didn’t have enough time, either, only double that of a standard release. Now as much as I love grappling around, I would have preferred a god dang dang that FUNCTIONS!
Throwing money at a project doesn’t help in this case. It is a logistics issue, not an accounting/budgeting issue.
Static titles have roadmaps upon release and are not live service games, yet our “live” service game has no roadmap. The term itself was used for marketing, there is NOTHING live about this game.
Ya. logistics. They apparently have trouble finding their god dang brains.
They are having difficulties with staffing and staff coordination. Covid didn’t help either.
I am not a fan of 343 Industries, so I don’t usually like defending them. But I am just stating why the game is the way it is and why the game is taking forever to fix.
And let me tell you EXACTLY why that is a LIE. They had a competent team ready and willing. The people that made Halo 3 online, El Dewrito, which made the best PC port of Halo to date, and is a competent team of modders who were optimistic 343 would reach out to them when 343 praised them but demanded they take it offline. Which they respectfully obliged to. So stop defending incompetent fools. They have no excuse.
The bunch of whinny little kids on This board… Of to playing Halo back. It still play very good imo.
Hiring modders isn’t really all that easy.
Sure Valve does it all the time, but that is because Valve was built out of modders in the first place.
Plus the modders and fan-game devs already don’t respect 343, so why would they accept a contract that puts them under the command structure of 343, removing the autonomy that modders and fan-game designers enjoy and replacing it with a rigid schedule with check-lists and such?
Is 343 incompetent?
Absolutely.
Should Microsoft instead buyout Saber Interactive, Certain Affinity, Liquid Development, Blur Studios, and Skybox Labs; merging these amazing companies together into Studio 117 and then make Halo THE CORRECT WAY?
100% a resounding YES !
I wish they’d tell us whats going on behind the scenes, I mean actually tell us, this mask act of theirs is just causing further frustration.
being honest with the community can do wonders after all.
Would love for that to happen… But I am not getting my hopes up.
7 years time the transfer comes.
7 years time the reformation can begin.
7 years time and the curse is lifted
7 years more and no less than 7 years.
Over 7 years pass and we get this dump fest game, 343 just bent offer and ripped some fecal gas in our faces. Although, some of the people inhale that gas with great pleasure.
Halo Infinite was developed in 3-4 years tho.
Halo Infinite’s “Slipspace Engine” (aka Faber but with a cooler paint job) took around 2-3 years to retool and finalize. After that, production for the game began and the teaser went out. You know the story past there.
So what does that have to do with their fixing and dev speeds?
Think of it as a math problem.
COVID-19 workplace restrictions + Poor communication habits + studio infighting at all stages + buggy and unreliable 20-year-old Dev Tools that Bungie used to make the first Halo games = Halo Infinite
It’s not a recipe for disaster, it’s a recipe for never getting anything done.
With how -Yoink!- has so much money to buy Bethesda, you’d think they’d be able to hire a team to help expedite these needed fixes and save their franchise title.
