Haven has always been advertised as a symmetrical map. It was one of the first halo 4 maps to be revealed and from its first release into the dangerous wilderness (aka halo fans) it was always known as a symmetrical map.
So that pleased alot of people. Its a good map and its very shiny and pretty too (helps appeal to everyone, you know?)
so we got the map, and we were all excited to play it (Well, the competitive players who like symmetry anyway) and it had asymmetrical spawns.
One team spawns inside the half circle. They get immediate access to the top and bottom parts of the map, as well as all immediate access to the left and right passages, which includes all the weapons in those passages.
Then a team spawns outside the half circle. they too have access to the bottom and top parts of the map. However, the only immediate direction they can take is forward. they must dangerously treck into the middle of the map before being able to head off onto the sides, with all its weaponry and riches. By the time they can make it there, the team that has spawned inside the half circle has already covered the entire half circle and most likely taken all the weapons inside.
And its a shame.
So my idea is to move the initial spawns to each opposite end of the half circle. This way, each team gets equal access to the map and its weapons, and honestly, it would change the map’s flow completely. Maybe even place a power weapon on that pathway outside the half circle, so both teams would fight over it. thats just a secondary idea though.
So if you support this idea please post in the thread, k thx.
