Thoughts post-livestream

While I didn’t get a chance to watch the livestream, I made sure as hell to find out what was covered. I’m pleased. It got me thinking about the state of the Halo franchise from this point on and about 343i. It may sound simple, but I think 343 is kinda telling Microsoft to chill and let them take their time to fix things and maintain the good stuff because that’s literally the only way to satisfy the fanbase and make it grow. That’s why I think the details for Halo 6 are so limited given the history of release dates. And I’m glad to see that. I’m glad to see that there is more content coming for Halo 5 and there are fixes for other games being released too. I’m also really happy the old games were made current with backwards compatibility. These past few weeks have been pretty positive and I hope I’m right about the Microsoft thing. Again, probably pretty obvious, but I was excited. And my delivery was probably not the best because I’ve slept less than the required amount for one day over the course of three because who knows. So, sorry for that but praise Halo our galactic treasure.

I would say that I’m surprised to say the least. The cameo appearance by MCC was unexpected but welcome and I’m generally glad at how ‘communityish’ the stream felt. It didn’t seem like a big corporation trying to hype up a fan-base for money but instead genuine people representing a company and interacting with an admittedly scary community. The stream was awesome, funny and I honestly want to see more; even without big announcements.

Also split-screen in future Halo FPS heck yeah. I’m sure glad about that.
