I don’t mind it at all… but I definitely don’t like it more than the way it was before this season once you got to Onyx you could gain or lose -30/+30 in the Onyx tier now it’s so much slower gaining or losing points in general -10/+10 at the most.
and is boosting ranks with lower accounts really over because I still see people doing it?
I will say I like how you have to get to Onyx now in certain Ranked playlist and not just skip from Diamond 6 straight to Champ.
seems like an odd time to change it up this late into the life of Halo 5!
I like this style better but I will never reach high Onyx or even Champ again with it. The slower gaining CSR is good and makes you feel accomplished for earning your rank. I don’t have time to play Halo 5 anymore and I was already struggling to reach mid Onyx. Now with even less time and less CSR give outs I will never be close to any of my previously acquired ranks. I would have loved it about a year ago when I played this game a lot. In the end, I care more about having fun then earning a higher rank, so I don’t mind it.
I don’t really like how if someone on the opposite team leaves you get almost no CSR from it because that one guy had a bad game it happens almost every other game to me in doubles.
- As well as sometimes you end up getting no CSR from beating lower ranked players because of how the system matches you sometimes
- All around it makes getting to onyx and champ a little more annoying too tbh.

I dislike it to be honest once you get to onyx it’s like playing turtle simulator
343 states that you will now get rank when players leave on the opposite team. And if the team wins when one of their players drop out, they won’t get extra rank. They stated that in the recent hotfix.
I was able to get to onyx in Doubles however I cannot rank any further. I play with a friend who is usually low play to mid play, he’s not boosting or anything Because when we verse a team of 2 onyx’s we have a big struggle. I’m not gonna lie, I am not the best player and sometimes don’t deserve onyx. But if I’m no longer getting rank from playing games with him anymore. I like it in the aspect that boosters can’t get rank now, but what happens when people who always play together on their og accounts with a somewhat rank gap play together. It’s kinda punishing and I like playing with this person.

Agreed it’s like well sorry friends we can’t play ranked anymore unless you’re the same rank as me…

Still don’t like the change it’s good that it stops boosters but I pretty much can’t play with my less skilled friends now which they are platinum or diamond in ranked

If they truly were your friends, you would play with them regardless. Back when I still cared about my rank I would play with my lower skilled friends knowing we would never win and I would lose my Onyx. I could always get that rank back playing solo que. You always have time to play by yourself, but do you always have time to play with your friends?
