Heatwave does no damage, and I feel like should just shoot faster instead of doing more damage so you can actually take advantage of the piercing ability, its not everyday people line up perfectly and dont want to miss the chance because it shoots too slow.
BR feels great, nothing to say there
Commando is understandibly has crazy recoil, but I am scared of the aim assist commando masters on controller.
I like how the plasma pistol sounds, charged shot has hit reg issues with people moving.
Ravager I feel like is going to be forgotten, it sucks. It seems like a power weapon, but its not. Its hard to hit and not very rewarding when you do, you can headshot but in a real game when are you actually going to (It is treated like a skill based weapon when it doesnt need to be.). Alternatively I feel like the shots should pool plasma, so all three direct hits can secure a kill with the plasma and could be used to hold a choke. I mean the current description says it shots globs of plasma shouldnt it glob on the ground.
Pulse carbine is fun, it seems like the shots track sometimes, but its already hard to use, so its not bad.
Bulldog I cant use for the life of me on PC, so I dont have much to say about that
AR is the AR, as it always was.
Skewer can be difficult to use against Players, but its antivehicle or said to be, so that makes sense.
Needler is instadeath close range, and nearly impossible to avoid mid range, but its fun
Some of the weapons lack personality in sound design. They sound great, but the sidekick and commando sound the same and the sniper and rockets sound the same.
They dont have to follow their earlier game counterparts, but in a game right now soundscape wise I have no idea what people are using, unless I watch the kill feed.
Im not going say how they should sound because I dont know, but right now those UNSC guns sound samey and dont differentiate from eachother.
Now this is where I have to say guns should follow their earlier counterparts in terms of sound design. The Needler, currently sounds like a waterfall from like a 90s RPG.
Each individual shot seems to be lacking some like pizzazz, it just sounds like a stream right now, like I was shooting a constant laser gun in a game. I like what was done in previous games even H5, if it aint broke dont fix it right. Its Halo, you dont got to redesign every single thing with a new release.
Doesnt run too well on PC currently I can get maybe consistent 65 fps at medium
I have an I5 9600k and a 2070, but it is a preview and this has been said a lot.
Keybinds are straight up broken. They never save, then if they do it doesnt work half the time.
I binded my weapon changing to 2, just never worked until a played a couple matches then magic it works.
There are some wierd reload bugs where if you reload and switch/ pick up weapons to quick or something you just cant shoot, its honestly a different result everytime, switch weapons and its the same weapon.
I am neutral about sprinting, but this entry I didnt see the point, it was balanced to cater to people not liking sprint, which is good, but sprinting is like the same speed as running and you can shoot immediately out of sprint which are things dont want changed, but why not just cut sprint out at that point. Its there just to keep slide in solely.
