More power to you. I’m just not big on it.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t want others to have it. I don’t like it but I wholly recognize it as a core feature of the game.

I think it’s due to the ranked FFA playlist they released was not great… maps too small/movement too quick to house 8 players and they also had king of the hill in the playlist. People didn’t like it and they stopped playing it.
Personally I hope they will adjust the playlist so when they do bring it back it can be more competitive… In its current state is was like playing Octagon.
The fact that ranked team Slayer is not a playlist to me is still a complete joke! I guarantee you more people would play ranked team Slayer than they would ranked arena if they had it because they have in all the other Halo games. Ranked team Slayer has always been top three most popular playlists in any Halo game that’s had it.
And for everyone that says there should be team snipers or ranked team snipers or ranked objective playlists and whatnot as much as I like that stuff as well, time and time again the stats have shown that those types of playlists do not have the population to sustain them unfortunately. I think they work well as rotational.
What is definitely sad is that there is no longer a FFA or team doubles playlist, especially ranked. I think both those playlists should just be ranked and there shouldn’t even be a social of them. Let’s be honest most social playlists should be things like an objective playlist, big team battle, fiesta, infection, grifball, quick play (which you could just use that instead of the objective one) stuff like this. The majority of players that play team Slayer would prefer to play it ranked. The majority of players that play FFA prefer to play it ranked.
It’s going to be really interesting to see what the population of this game is and say a month or two after call of duty’s been out for a bit and that game seems to have actually listen to the majority of it’s fan base (For the record, I’m not a call of duty fan) and does not have the technical issues (At least so far) online that Halo Infinite has. I think everyone that thinks forge is going to save Halo Infinite is going to have a big wake up call in 6 months I’m sorry to say.
So… in the course of 3(?) months, Halo Infinite has gotten rid of both FFA modes (rumble pit & Last Spartan Standing) during a season titled “Lone Wolves”…
Team Snipers was never released as a true Team Snipers playlist. It desperately needs to JUST BE SNIPERS. Nothing else. I look forward to playing Team Snipers when it rotates in and I hope that you come back and play it too!
Ya shotty snipers with the new shotgun is super annoying because people just get aggressive and use only the shotty thanks to it no longer being a pump shotty. I wouldn’t mind if we got shock rifles mixed in if we could get rid of the stupid spike gun thing.
Yeah this permament playlist update is complete trash and feels like a degeneration of the steps forward Infinite has made over these last two painful, incompetent seasons.
Why do you think they’d shut down the servers on a game that’s not even a year old?
Uh, it is a pump shotty.
A Shock Rifle game mode sounds extremely entertaining especially with the ability to zap near by opponents!
I’m usually a fan of having variety in playlists. But fiesta is a complete different beast that does not mash well with standard game modes. It would not create a good result for most players.
With this said. 343i after yall fix the network issues, fix the limitation on playlists. XOXO
removing FFA is a big mistake. they should have just decreased max players from 8 to 6, that would have made it easier to find matches even with low population, while at the same time arguably increasing the quality of a lot matches since 8 players are too many especially for objective modes.
I feel you on this dude, but it’s very two faced, to keep 4v4 Fiesta but not 12v12 Fiesta as the only addition BTB has had since launch was the release of breaker, and look this is coming from someone who would play 99.99% of games at 100-300ms of ping and still enjoyed myself. As much as you say it won’t be a good result for players, Fiesta is still one of the higher up the list in most played game modes, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and don’t misunderstand me here, I’ve seen leaks of BTB BR starts, which doesn’t change anything bar the starting weapon
It’s been part of the ranked scene of Halo since Halo 2. It makes sense to me to have it part of the permanent playlist list.
It would also help to have a more robust match composer like what we have in MCC. I just saw a mockup that someone made as an experiment.

At the very least, something like this would at least look prettier IMO.
I would like to be positive as much as anyone. But these permanent playlists aren’t an improvement over H5. They’re just the most popular H5 playlists, but in infinite with less stuff.
It’s sorely lacking Bot Bootcamp or an alternative starter playlist. This is the opposite of infinite’s vision of being a great place for us OG’s in addition to being a welcoming environment for new Halo players.
I don’t even like the game types, but no Griffball and no Infection is a galaxy sized L.
But yea, I guess I’m not unhappy with the list necessarily, because my favs are there. Sure would be nice if there was a newest Halo MP for all Halo fans after a year though ![]()
Separate ASSASSIN and OBJECTIF games !!!
The continued removal of core playlists has basically cemented my opinion that this game is boned. If we ignore things like sbmm/desync/map quality, I think the biggest thing that killed Infinite is the inability to switch between your preferred playlists whenever you want, not whenever 343 sees fit to add them back into the game. And no, “playlist health/population” are not valid reasons to prune playlists, all you’re doing is removing peoples incentive to play the game by removing their preferred playlist. If I can’t hop from TS to snipers, then to doubles, then to objective, then back to TS whenever I feel like it then I don’t want to play Halo anymore.
It’s a giant L for sure not having Griffball or Infection or really both fun different playlists in Halo Infinite matchmaking. They both should, no, MUST be added into the rotation of playlists.
Hopefully this new one of Covert CTF brings some fun and new challenges to the mix of Halo Infinite.
I’m kinda excited, but mostly luke warm on it. I just don’t think it’s good enough to justify not getting Assault ![]()
