These are the lists of Permanent Playlists that will continue with the November 8th update. Did 343i leave any important playlists off of this list that should be permanent? Are there any playlists on here that should not be on here?
Those are the core Halo game modes people wanna’ play. I like everything there but Fiesta, which… is something I NEVER understood the appeal of.
I like the concept of rotational playlists. Keep mixing it up.
I would have preferred a custom set up, of course. Even if it was super basic - and just allowed you to pick multiple playlists at once - and then taking you to the quickest, cleanest one available at the time.
But drilling down into the news blog… what the Hell is “Ranked Survivors”?
Are we getting a Ranked variant of Attrition? Or a playlist of similar games? Could LSS be making a comeback…
Edit; it looks like we also get “Social Survivors” later in the Season.
kind of shameful that the population cant support staples of the franchise such as ffa, doubles, or snipers but at least they arent shutting down the servers yet
I don’t like the fact that they have removed FFA , Team Snipers, and Social Big Team Battle as permanent playlist. Those should stay no matter what. They dropped the ball big time.
I think FFA (at the very least FFA slayer) should’ve stayed, but otherwise I’m pretty happy with the list.
What I’d really want to see is a Multiplayer UI overhaul to accommodate all gamemodes, since that’d do a good job at making everyone happy. But alas, that takes time they don’t currently have, so rotational playlists will be fine.

I’m hoping this comment within 343i’s blog post indicates a match composer is being worked on.
I’ll miss Big Team Social, as I generally preferred BTB game modes for being more casual friendly.
I am wondering the exact same thing. Like is it a spin off from Last Spartan Standing?
I just realized that Rumble Pit is leaving. That makes me quite sad.
I’m hoping that a match composer/ regional selection process is in the works.
I’m very confused why there is no permanent FFA option, and thats coming from someone who hates FFA but it is quite a unique mode (no teams, only individuals).
I also hope that when Infection is added that it is a permanent matchmaking option and not just some seasonal event.
look, I’m pretty mad that we will be losing BTB Fiesta, it would be nice if that was added into BTB instead of having to wait for that one week a month to play it. i mean as an Australian player it does annoy me thoroughly that Fiesta will stay a permanent playlist but BTB Fiesta will not become part of the btb playlist, I find the social btb modes like skockets, team snipers and shotty snipes should stay in BTB Social and be bought back with other new social modes. it going along with the outburst that happened when fiesta went away to begin with and appeasing those players, so it shouldn’t be that hard to do that once again

i think the permanet playlists most become the same like we alway’s have in the other halo game’s more.
that playlist’s for the social playlist’s most be:
Big Team Slayer.
Living death.
Grifball.
Big Team Objective.
Fiesta
for the ranked:
Team slayer.
Team Objective.
Team snipers.
then you have a good belance in the permanet playlist that most stay for good in the matchmaking.
If they are removing team snipers then I’m basically done with the game. Its the only mode I play anymore.

lol I just saw the blog update. Team Snipers wont come back till December. Yep, I’m no longer playing this game.
It’s a bummer that matchmaking is being scaled back less than a year after launch… but at the same time, I’m grateful the modes I enjoy playing are still permanent. My heart goes out to the FFA/Rumble Pit fans, though. 
I personally like the chaotic nature of Fiesta. Nothing is set in stone, so one respawn can change the tide of a match. Everything is out of control until the last kill, which keeps players on their toes. I can’t speak for others, but that’s why it’s appealing to me.
Axe fiesta and bring back ranked doubles.
There needs to be at least one playlist in which you can bring one friend and not worry any being paired with half wits because of 343s broken mmr system.
Plus, I don’t know a single person who enjoys fiesta that plays this series actively.
