Thoughts on the July/August technical preview

I got to play halo infinite via the recent flight and wanted to share some thoughts about it.
It was a very enjoyable experience that felt like the perfect blend between new and old halo, but I have some criticisms with the gameplay so far so I’ll be listing them below as well as some ideas on how to fix said criticisms.

  • Collision physics seem to have been toned down alot so many things we could do in the previous titles are no longer possible (Hammer pushback and player collision to name a couple) / bringing the physics back from previous games would only add to the experience. - I feel as if weapons despawn too fast so we can’t really go back to grab them when we die. / Increasing the timers based on the percentage of ammo the gun has left would be a good idea imo. - The sniper rifle feels really rough to use and not pleasant at all (I’ve never been the best with snipers but I’ve seen a few people talk about the sniper in the same way) / tweaking how the weapon handles and decreasing the skill gap a little should make the sniper a little better to use (debatable) - It’s hard to tell whenever an enemy player has overshield or not because of the outlines being the same colour as the shields. / Giving players the option to change the colour of the enemies shields would make things clearer. - You cannot rotate your camera when spectating after dying / add the feature to move the camera so players don’t feel restricted. - Having a body type slider is a good idea, but I feel it could have been better as I can’t usually see the difference during gameplay / adding more sliders for different parts of the body would help expand personalisation. - I like the ai in the game and I think they are a great addition, but I would like a toggle feature as I might not want to hear them all the time (like in custom games or forge)There are more things I wanted to mention but I don’t want to potentially repeat myself.
I think halo infinite will be a great game when it releases, but sorting out these issues before launch can make the game even better. This is just my opinion however so I’d like to hear others peoples ideas on the subject.
