Note: Doing this in hopes 343 will read. I’m only one guy, so I’m sure my opinion doesn’t matter that much. Regardless, I’ll do it anyway
Campaign: So far looks pretty damn good. Adding a new antagonist type enemy sounds great; if it still plays like Halo. I kind of like how they’re not just doing another Halo and trying to add there own spin on things while still keeping the feel (hopefully) the same way. The ‘demo’ they have pics of looks good. The idea of exploring chief as a character still doesn’t sound all that great for a story. He’s a genetically augmented super solider. His feelings really shouldn’t be center stage. He should have no problem forcing those away to concentrate on what he needs to do. But if Cortana starts to go rampant? I could see that as a reason for him to tick. So as of right now, I believe I can say that I actually LIKE the direction the campaign is going. I really can’t believe I just said that
Mutliplayer: Still don’t like. While I read in a thread on a different site stating how the instant re-spawn is playlist specific, I still don’t like how much it’s like CoD and Battlefield. Now I can’t explain the Battlefield part as I haven’t played it. But the CoD implementations are obvious. Loadouts: Primary, Secondary weapon choices, grenade type, and armor abilities are all confirmed. One other thing is yet to be revealed. What bugs me is that 343 STILL listened to all of the complainers and haters of armor lock and, as of right now, looks like it’s not even in Halo 4. Sprint is default for EVERYBODY. I hope it automatically turns off when being shot, otherwise everyone is going to use it to run away when they get shot first. I dislike the weapon drops idea, even if it isn’t completely random. It decreases the skill gap between long time players who can time weapon respawns and newbies who are camping or what ever. And now you can join and quit out of a game half way through? CoD through and through. I get they want to speed up gameplay and keep people from quitting. But I don’t agree that that is the way to go. And I don’t want to join a game that’s already halfway through. And now they add spartan points (sound like Black Ops’ way to unlock guns and abilities? It is) for your loadouts.
All in All, they have more sold on the campaign, which is most important to me, the addition of another Halo game with (hopefully) an amazingly in depth, interesting story. The multiplayer, at the most, will take some getting used to, which is fine as long as it works well and feels like Halo (like Reach). At the worst, I’m going to stay away from it
Thanks for your time. I can’t wait to play the campaign
