I know this will be buried with all the other posts and feedbacks but i wanted to take the time to write a couple of line in case i dont have to option to send words as feedback:
I got my hype for a new Halo destroyed after the E3 2020 gameplay and the awful communication they had after that. I even stopped playing MCC and take a distance to Halo because of how 343 managed their comunications. I can argue that they have more misses than hits regarding to Halo, and I have debated in Reddit and on this forum my feelings of Halo Infinite and how they could just miss this one too and kill Halo forever. I still have my differences and fears for this game
But oh my god this “hands on” and test of the gameplay prove wrong in so many things:
- Sprint is, in my opinion, perfect. It really fits the Halo Gameplay and it is “less CoD”
- Equipment is on point as well: not too OP to make everyone and juggernaut but not too weak to make it woth something to go for
- Art direction is “Halo”. Exacly what Halo 4 and 5 should have been. A great evolution
- Music… oh god, this is just awesome. I got problem to get into lobbies a lot (it is beta, so i expected this and im ok. This is not a complain) and didnt care because the music was so epic. A great Mix of new and old
Now, for the things that i didnt even think of:
- Maps, they are fresh new and something that difference themself of other games
- The rework of the radar “Visibility” is a positive one.
Overall a really good experience and cant wait to play the “1.0”. Im so happy that you guys finally start to hear to the players and “evolve” Halo rather than just try to change it to appeal to other players (Halo 4) or make it the more E-sport thing streamer friendly gameplay (Halo 5). Its really feel like you want to make the game “Fun”.
Thanks you guys for letting me be part of this development and I really hope succes for Infinite. You are already on the good path with the multiplayer. If some moderator is gonna close this post because I broke some rule (havent posted in a while) i am sorry and please send the team a pat on the back and add me in the count of “People who loved the flight”

Proper feedback is going to be difficult before they enable PVP.
Thus far: sprint and slide seem clunky next to Titanfall/Apex/CoD – yes, I know Halo has always had a different feel, but it’s still very jarring, even for series standards.
Melee is near perfect. Needler needs adjustments so you can see who is properly stuck better. CPU/GPU load is massively bonkers on PC. Optimization isn’t there at all yet. We’ll see what happens when we get some game ready drivers.
The screenshake while sprinting needs to be removed, screenshake prevents motion sick prone players from accessing the game.
Otherwise it’s shaping up to be one of the best Halo MP experiences around. The graphics are astounding. It needs optimization, smoother sprint/slide mechanics and some netcode improvements. For a first public showing it’s not bad. The single player training mode has so much screeshake and headbob I find it unplayable without becoming very sick.
Thanks for the thread.
Have you tried adjusting the screen shake level in the settings? I noticed it in there, the default is 100%. I haven’t really fiddled with it yet but you could give it a try.

Seems to have very little to no fx in the “academy” mode, but does work a fair amount in MP.

Mmmmm I think you are right about the slide. I never got problems with the sprint movement. Personally I notice that it’s looks slow when you use the pre defined FOV (70). I always go for the max so with 120 is looks better.
Melee is really good. In MCC I feel like it’s required too much precision for MnK and that controllers get the plus of aim assist. Here… it just works!
in the technical part: yea, the game run awful in my PC. I need a new GPU but with these prices it’s gonna take a while.
In the balancing side of the game I feel like it is not at all ready. I believe (it is only my opinion) that we were against bots because it is still unbalanced and connection problems is still a common thing (lag, latency, etc). In this regard I really hope that they show the ping of the player, I need to know if I’m lagging or in just bad at aiming

Maybe it was just me but i think controllers need a little aim assist to compete with the mouse and keyboard. I get the skill gap but it’s to a point where it just feels unresponsive and not fun to shoot sometimes. Especially the sidekick and commando. I feel I have good aim and my sensitivity is to where I like it the most. Maybe it’s just me. Would love to know if anyone else is having this issue.

mmmm you are right. The bullet magnetism is turned down a lot, even with MnK is hard to get good shots with some weapons. Im fine if they want to scale up the skill required to precision weapons such as the BR, this will let other weapons like the AR have room to be useful.
