I think we can agree the exchange has been a bit boring, hopefully it gets better in season 6 but I wonder what changes and additions 343i can make to improve it, tell me some of your ideas if you want to.
I think you mean season 7, and I like the idea of the exchange since it was announced and then released for being able to purchase things that were limited and that people missed out on. So far I’ve only purchased one of the ODST skins that I didn’t get when the appropriate season was available. Matter fact I’ll only be buying one other thing from it and that is another ODST skin (I think it was the Romeo helmet off one?). I think the only thing that would make it more appealing would be to lower the cost of some stuff and maybe have a few more things available weekly. Otherwise it’s pretty decent.

Seems like a beta for infinite’s store. I may be In the minority here but I absolutely do not care about cosmetics. 0%. If I could exchange 679 season points for some new CE maps to play on I would immediately. I’m pretty sure though 343 is selling out and going full micro-transaction with Infinite. I can imagine the board room meetings… ‘get them used to the exchange so they will pay for it in infinite’… Maybe I’m being pessimistic but I just don’t endorse all the cosmetic hype. Give us some actual content not a new visor color, armor set, or weapon skin. Peace and love.

This is what paves the way for new content. You don’t have to buy it but you still get the benefits.
I feel like eventually Halo Infinite will have all maps. It will be a graphically updated version of the MCC with everything else, that’s my hope for it.

Your hopes are honorable but I feel like 343 are just going to create cosmetic things to sell to you in the store in infinite rather than making new maps and actual valid content. See that’s my whole point they’re getting everyone used to paying for cosmetics with season points when in infinite you’re going to be paying for it with actual money if you’re a chump.
I thought cosmetics were battlepass only?
Even if they aren’t and you can buy some stuff then that’s great, more money equals more support. I won’t buy 99% of items but I’ll sure as hell enjoy all the free content.
They will release new stuff to keep people invested. It’s the free to play model all over. They won’t release cosmetics only as they know that isn’t enough to keep players invested.
We shall see, I still have an eerie feeling they will prioritize armor skins(your basic, preferred Spartan color) and weapon skins as monetary items, which is whack.
